Plumb Medic comes through for the win...again! My water heater was old and the piping was wonky. Nick installed a better water heater and brought all the wonky stuff up to code. I always recommend Plumb Medic for plumbing needs. They're awesome!
Cain Was super friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed late to get the job done and did great work Will Call again if needed and would definitely recommend
Plumb Medic is my go to for water leaks and other plumbing issues. I have used them on multiple occasions to solve tricky issues that are typical of older homes. They were quick to come out and assess and quick to complete the project. Cameron, Cole, and Corey were polite, diligent, and frankly good at what they do. Happily recommend Plumb Medic to others and will use them should I have a new issue arise.
HIGHLY recommend! So professional!! Arrived on time, great communication and went above and beyond!!! Very reasonably priced, too!!
Thank you so much for the great service. I called that morning because my toilet was continuously running, and you came out that day. You diagnosed the problem as too much pressure and fixed the problem, and got me back in code. Your professionalism and attention to detail are very much appreciated. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that needs a professional and reasonably priced plumbing service.
Completely thrilled with the service and the prompt responses. I called on the weekend and received a call back within 24 hours. They were honestly, professional and got us up to code! Thank You!
Nick replaced a wax ring on my son’s toilet. He said he was very friendly and did a great job!
I rely on reviews a good bit but rarely write them. The glowing reviews are what led me to call Cameron/Plumb Medic LLC to get an estimate for installing a new Toto toilet that I ordered and had sitting in boxes in my hallway to replace my 43 year old Briggs toilet, yes 43 years ! Cameron returned my call immediately, was very knowledgeable and gave me a price that beat 2 other local plumbing companies even offering a discount for 2 toilets at once. I only had the one but am expecting delivery tomorrow for the second one. Cain and Eric came the next day to install my toilet. They were down to earth, easy to talk to , professional hardworking guys that knew their stuff! Plus, they are animal lovers like myself. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure having them at my house. They installed my new Toto and I plan to try to request them for the second Toto install. After using numerous plumbers/plumbing companies through the years I am happy and relieved to have found Plumb Medic and plan on making them my "go to " plumbers. This may sound odd but I do love my Toto !!! Barb Above review was several years ago. This 2nd review is from March 13 2026. Cameron and Corey came and installed a new Bradford White water heater for me. They did an exceptional job with attention to detail. Cameron noticed water seeping from an old connection above his work, accessed it and made the repair at no extra cost. I asked about replacing my 40 plus year old handle on the main water shut off to house at back of basement. Cameron was thoughtful enough to suggest that he could move it lower so I could reach it without a ladder -hopefully I won’t ever need to. He replaced it with a ball valve handle which is superior to the old school round handle that exterior faucets use and gave me a discount since they were installing the water heater. I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Plumb Medic , Cameron and crew are the BEST.
As always they come through with a reasonable price and get the work done. I have used them multiple times and they will always be my first call.
Cameron and team did excellent and extensive work through our house. They cared for our home like it was theirs. Highly recommend.
I am a repeat client. They are very professional. They quickly diagnose problems and present alternative solutions to each issue. They are a pleasure to work with.
Cameron and Corey were professional, freindly, knowledgeable and honest. I told them the issues I was having and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. They don’t cut corners, and fix the problem RIGHT , and take pride in their work.
Cain and Eric were schedule to come and replace a weird leaking outdoor faucet and replace some stuff in a bathroom. They did this in the usual timely and professional manner. They noticed an indoor leak and opened the wall to find a bigger problem. Thank goodness and a mitigation company was called. At the same time I had a sewer problem and they quickly got Cole out to ream and camera the sewer. Highly recommend this service.
Called Plumb Medic after I got a 1300 water bill assuming I had a leak. Cole came out in a POURING rainstorm. Checked our meter outside getting soaked several times after shutting off house water, and came back to tell me we had no leak and there was no charge. I was shocked he would come out and not charge me. I will use Plumb Medic in the future for every plumbing issue. That’s amazing customer service.
Fantastic customer service! Excellent communication, and follow up, prompt, professional and very helpful and patient answering my questions. I highly recommend them without reservation!
We encountered the dreaded, dirty rusty water in our sinks and tubs and knew we needed to replace our water heater. I called Plumb Medic and after a brief discussion we were scheduled for a new install 2 days later. They were on time, on budget and the area was spic-and-span when they finished up. The quality of the joints and connections of the new copper piping needed was impressive - it was like a work of art. They were friendly, professional, honest and super easy and comfortable to do business with. I can highly recommend Plumb Medic without reservation!!
We had a fantastic experience with them. They were prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and completed the repair efficiently. The pricing was fair with no surprises. It’s hard to find reliable service these days, but they absolutely delivered. Highly recommend for any plumbing needs!
Clean install. On time. Professional and fair Price. Highly recommended
I definitely recommend Plumb Medic. Water heater finally broke and they came out and replaced it the same day. Good pricing and great customer service
Cole was capable, quick, and knowledgeable. He did solid work for a good price.
Plumb Medic was great to work with. We had a water issue and they came out quickly, figured out exactly what was going on, and explained everything clearly along the way. The technician was patient, knowledgeable, and really on top of his work. He also referred us to a water remediation company to dry out the affected areas, which made the whole situation much easier to handle. I really appreciated the professionalism and friendliness they showed throughout the process. Overall, a very good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
The entire experience was great from start to finish. It started with a phone call with Cameron. He gave me an estimate and when I mentioned I was getting estimates from other businesses he provided me with several questions to ask them. Next step was an in person estimate. Cole came out, gave an estimate then emailed me what we had discussed. When Cole came out with one other person (I forget his name) they were early, finished the work soner than they said, cleaned up then the bill was what we were quoted. Great service, great people and reasonable prices. I would recommend them to everyone adn will use the again when we need them.
I called Plumb Medic after discovering water in my garage. The owner, Cameron, came to my home at 8:30pm and detected a slab leak behind the water heater. Repairs were made the next day. Cameron is very personable and professional. I highly recommend him and his team for all plumbing needs.
Such great service. Knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Will definitely call them anytime I need a plumber.
Have been using Plumb Medic last 2 years and very satisfied. Cole was excellent. Strongly recommend!
Plumb Medic is absolutely the best. I’ve used them for multiple services and repairs, and every experience has been consistently excellent. Their communication is clear and timely, and the entire team is professional from start to finish. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and I always feel confident the work is done right. Truly the only plumbing company I trust and continue to use. Highly recommend!
Quick and responsive, friendly and helpful. Best plumber experience ever. 100% recommend.
Cameron and the team did an awesome job with our replumb. In and out in a day, competitive pricing, and they were great to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend
One of the most professional and efficient companies I’ve ever worked with. They came in and diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I can’t recommend them enough.
I would highly recommend!!! Cain and Eric went way above and beyond to help us out in our situation. They were very professional, knowledgeable, kind and answered all of our questions and concerns! I can not recommend them enough!
Cameron and his team have helped me out many times over the years, from leaks to running toilets and most recently, the replacement of my water heater. They’re always prompt, thorough and super respectful, their quotes are clear and transparent and they do a wonderful job explaining everything so you know exactly what you’re getting. I never feel like I’m being upsold or pressured into anything, it genuinely feels like they care - like it’s a friend or family member helping out. Their work is great too! Will hire again and again 😁
Cain and his brother Eric did an amazing job. I called Cameron and he was able to get someone out quickly despite a busy schedule. Honest, professional, on time, and no unnecessary repairs. Plus excellent pricing. All around the best —the only plumbing company I recommend.
They came when they said they would and the plumber was very nice and took care of it in the most efficient way possible, so there wasn't any superfluous charges. I highly recommend this company!
Reliable, clean, quick, fair priced. Thank you Plumb Medic for helping us! 🙂
Cameron and Corey did a fantastic job replacing my tankless hot water heater. Everything was explained to me.
We have used Plumb Medic several times over the years for our plumbing needs. Cameron and his team have always been honest and professional. Recently we had a toilet installed in which Cameron himself came out and installed. He arrived within the window he promised given the busy holiday season, which is extremely rare these days. There were some defects with toilet we purchased from Home Depot, which caused the install to take longer than expected. He had mentioned prior to coming out that his kid had a Christmas program that day, but should be able to install the toilet in time. Due to the toilet defect I’m pretty sure he missed his kid’s performance, which killed me inside. I wished he would have told me, because I would have told him to go and come back tomorrow. This just proves Cameron’s dedication to his craft and his customers. We appreciate him and his family for his dedication and highly recommend him and his team to anyone who has plumbing needs. Thank you again Cameron and we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Great response, communication, work and reasonable price. On site within a couple of hours for a service main break. Ask for Cole.
The gentleman that came was awesome! He explain everything he was looking at and how much it would cost beforehand. He told me if it was too much that he could break it down to what should he done first. He worked office fly and checked everything to make sure all was done correctly
Cameron and team are great guys and have always been good to finish projects and help in emergencies. I have used them to finish out a laundry room project, replace toilets, replace a water heater and fix a mainline break to my house. They have always been quick and fair! I have tried several companies and plumbmedic has always treated my emergencies as if it was their own home emergencies. Can’t go wrong with this company.
Great experience! Cole from plumb medic did a thorough assessment of the issue and explained everything in details.
Cam and Jesse went above and beyond for us. From the initial call they were professional and courteous while walking me through what needed to be done on my basement rough in. The bid was very fair and they showed up on time and completed the job quicker than I expected. No corners were cut and the job was meticulously done. They also replaced my hot water heater. I can’t say enough about the Plumb Medic. It is very refreshing to work with a company like theirs. I highly recommend Plumb Medic for any of your plumbing needs.
Used them 3 times, always show up on time, fixed the issue and their prices are great.

Repiping in Woodstock, GA
Repiping involves replacing an entire home’s water supply piping with new materials. The scope typically includes hot and cold water lines from the main shutoff to every fixture in the home. Drain, waste, and vent piping is sometimes included in major repipe projects, though more often it is a separate consideration. Whole-house repipe addresses widespread system problems that spot repairs cannot solve effectively. Multiple aging pipe failures, deteriorating water quality, and reduced pressure all signal the need for comprehensive replacement. Plumb Medic evaluates each situation honestly to determine appropriate scope.
Polybutylene replacement is one of the most common repipe projects we handle. The gray plastic pipes installed between 1978 and 1995 have demonstrated widespread failure problems. Reactions with chlorinated water cause polybutylene to become brittle and crack unexpectedly. Insurance companies sometimes require replacement before issuing or renewing policies. Real estate transactions often identify polybutylene during inspections, affecting sale prices and buyer confidence. Plumb Medic recommends proactive polybutylene replacement before failures cause water damage. The investment in repipe prevents far more expensive damage from sudden line failures.
PEX, cross-linked polyethylene, has become increasingly popular for water supply applications. The flexible tubing routes through framing easily, requiring fewer fittings than rigid materials. Freeze resistance comes from material flexibility that allows expansion without splitting. Connections use various methods including crimp rings, expansion fittings, and push-fit connectors depending on PEX type and brand. Lifespan estimates of 50 years or more apply to quality PEX installations. Some PEX brands have shown problems with chlorine exposure, making material selection important. Plumb Medic uses quality PEX from reliable manufacturers.
Galvanized steel systems in older homes typically warrant replacement once problems begin. The galvanized coating gradually fails, allowing iron to corrode and accumulate as scale inside pipes. Reduced water pressure throughout the home indicates internal pipe restriction. Discolored water, particularly on first morning use, signals corrosion progressing inside pipes. Recurring leaks at threaded joints suggest broader system deterioration. Plumb Medic typically recommends replacement rather than spot repair for galvanized systems showing widespread problems. Whole-house repipe restores reliable water service and improves home value significantly.
Aging copper systems with recurring pinhole leaks sometimes justify repipe rather than continued repairs. Pinhole leaks develop from aggressive water chemistry, electrolysis, or high water velocity affecting all copper in the system equally. When leaks recur in different locations within months or years, the pattern suggests system-wide problems. Repair costs over time eventually exceed replacement value. Plumb Medic helps customers evaluate the tipping point between continued repairs and proactive replacement. Sometimes water treatment addresses the underlying cause, while other situations clearly call for new pipes.
Material selection for repipe projects affects cost, performance, and longevity. PEX represents the best value for most residential applications, offering flexibility, freeze resistance, and reasonable cost. Copper provides traditional appeal and proven longevity at higher cost. CPVC works well for many applications at moderate cost. Each material has specific advantages for different situations. Plumb Medic helps customers choose appropriate materials based on water quality, building structure, budget, and preferences. Our recommendations reflect honest assessment of what works best for each home.
Project planning addresses installation logistics and minimizes disruption. We map pipe routes through the home, identifying optimal paths through accessible spaces like attics, crawl spaces, and basements. Wall and ceiling access points get planned to minimize damage to finished spaces. Water service interruption gets scheduled to maintain household function during the project. Bathroom and kitchen access stays available throughout most of the project, with brief interruptions during specific connection work. Detailed planning produces efficient execution.
Wall and ceiling repair after installation work is part of comprehensive repipe services. Drywall patches, texturing, and basic painting restore surfaces affected by installation access. We coordinate restoration work to provide complete service when possible, though some customers prefer to handle finish work separately. Documentation of installation work supports warranty claims and home sales. Photos of completed installations help future plumbers understand the system layout. Quality finish work matters for total project satisfaction.

Why Hire A Licensed Plumber For Your Repiping
Repiping is a major project that demands professional expertise from start to finish. Plumb Medic technicians know how to plan efficient pipe routes, install materials correctly, and complete work to code standards. Improper repipe installation creates leak risks throughout the home, potentially causing widespread damage. Material selection mistakes affect performance and longevity for decades. Code compliance includes pipe support, fire blocking, and venting requirements that licensed plumbers understand. Permits and inspections are required for repipe projects in nearly every jurisdiction. Insurance coverage often depends on professional installation documentation. Manufacturer warranties on premium materials specifically require professional installation. The waived diagnostic fee, military and senior discounts, and Wisetack financing make professional repipe affordable. Plumb Medic provides upfront pricing, project planning, and warranty coverage. Calling a licensed plumber for repipe protects your home, your investment, and your peace of mind. The complexity and consequences of repipe make professional installation the only sensible choice.
Most Common Repiping Questions
Repiping raises significant questions about cost, timeline, and disruption to daily life. Below are clear answers to the questions Woodstock homeowners ask most often before committing to whole-house repipe projects.
Whole-house repipe costs vary based on home size, material choice, and accessibility. Typical residential repipe projects range from $4,000 to $15,000 or more. Smaller homes with single bathrooms and accessible plumbing often complete in the $4,000 to $7,000 range. Average homes with multiple bathrooms typically cost $7,000 to $11,000 for PEX or CPVC repipe. Larger homes or those requiring copper installation can reach $12,000 to $20,000 or more. Plumb Medic provides detailed estimates after evaluating specific homes.
Several factors affect total repipe costs significantly. Home size measured in square footage and number of fixtures drives material and labor needs directly. Material choice affects costs, with PEX often providing best value through lower material cost and faster installation. Copper costs significantly more for materials and labor but offers traditional appeal. Multi-story homes increase complexity and cost. Accessibility through attics, basements, and crawl spaces affects installation efficiency. Drywall repair after installation work adds to total project costs.
The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the repipe, keeping costs lower. Wisetack financing covers repipe projects through manageable monthly payments, making major upgrades accessible. Military and senior discounts apply to all repiping work. Insurance coverage sometimes applies when repipe addresses sudden failures or specific covered situations. The investment pays off through avoided water damage, improved water quality, restored pressure, and increased home value. Plumb Medic provides transparent pricing with no surprise charges. Customers consistently report satisfaction with both pricing and results from our repipe projects.
Whole-house repipe typically takes 3 to 5 days for average homes, though timelines vary based on size and complexity. Smaller homes with single bathrooms can complete in 2 to 3 days. Larger homes with multiple stories or extensive plumbing can extend to 5 days or more. Material choice affects timeline, with PEX flexibility usually faster than copper or CPVC. Accessibility plays a major role in actual project duration. Plumb Medic provides accurate timeline estimates during project planning.
Several factors affect actual repipe duration significantly. Open framing during major remodels offers fastest installation when available. Attic and crawl space access provides faster routing than installation through finished walls. Drywall repair after access work extends total project completion beyond just plumbing installation. Permit and inspection scheduling affects timeline though not direct work hours. Multiple work crews can sometimes accelerate timelines for larger projects. Weather and seasonal factors occasionally affect crawl space and attic work.
Plumb Medic minimizes water service interruption throughout repipe projects. Coordination ensures water is available for most of each day, with shutoffs scheduled to minimize disruption. Bathroom and kitchen functionality remains available through most of the project, with brief interruptions during specific connection work. Phased completion allows sections to come back online as work progresses. Final inspection and water service restoration complete projects properly. Customers can plan around the project timeline once specific dates are confirmed. Quality work takes appropriate time, but we work efficiently to minimize total project duration.
Several signs indicate repipe is appropriate rather than continued repairs. Frequent leaks throughout the system suggest widespread material failure rather than isolated problems. Recurring pinhole leaks on copper that appear in different locations point to system-wide chemistry issues. Reduced water pressure throughout the home signals internal pipe restriction from corrosion. Discolored water on first morning use indicates corrosion progressing inside pipes. Strange tastes or smells in water sometimes relate to pipe material problems.
Specific pipe materials warrant proactive replacement consideration. Polybutylene installations from 1978 to 1995 should be replaced before failures cause damage. Galvanized steel systems showing problems typically warrant complete replacement. Older copper with widespread pinhole leak history may justify replacement. Insurance company requirements sometimes force replacement of certain materials. Real estate transactions often surface pipe material issues that affect sale prices and timelines. Each situation has specific considerations affecting replacement decisions.
Plumb Medic provides honest evaluations of piping system condition during inspections. Sometimes spot repairs make more sense than full replacement, while other situations clearly justify comprehensive work. We explain the pros and cons of different approaches with associated costs. Customers receive clear information about expected outcomes from various approaches. Whole-house repipe addresses widespread problems definitively, while spot repair can be appropriate for isolated issues. Our recommendations reflect what makes the most sense for each specific home and situation. Honest assessment has earned us strong reputation across Woodstock.
PEX has become the most popular repipe material due to its combination of advantages. The flexible cross-linked polyethylene tubing routes through framing easily, requiring fewer fittings than rigid materials. Freeze resistance comes from material flexibility allowing expansion without splitting. Connections use various methods including crimp rings, expansion fittings, and push-fit connectors. Lifespan estimates of 50 years or more apply to quality installations. Cost effectiveness combined with installation speed makes PEX excellent value for most residential repipe projects.
Copper remains a strong choice for repipe in many situations. Type L copper handles residential water supply applications reliably with proven longevity exceeding 50 years in favorable conditions. Soldered joints create permanent connections when properly executed. Copper handles high temperatures, freezes more resistantly than rigid plastics, and offers traditional appeal that some customers prefer. Costs run higher than PEX for both materials and labor. Plumb Medic uses copper when applications justify its costs and benefits.
CPVC provides moderate-cost alternative for repipe projects. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride handles hot and cold water reliably. Solvent welded connections create permanent bonds when properly prepared and assembled. Material costs fall between PEX and copper, with installation labor similar to PEX. Some customers prefer CPVC familiarity over plastic alternatives. Plumb Medic uses CPVC where applications match its strengths. Our material recommendations reflect honest assessment of what works best for specific situations rather than preferences for any particular material. Customers benefit from professional guidance on material selection.
Repipe projects do create some disruption to normal household routines. Water service must be interrupted at certain points during installation, though we minimize duration of interruptions. Bathroom and kitchen access stays available through most of the project, with brief shutoffs during specific connection work. Workers and equipment in the home affect privacy and comfort during business hours. Dust and minor debris from installation work creates cleaning needs. Each factor affects daily life to varying degrees.
Several practices minimize repipe disruption significantly. Plumb Medic plans routes through accessible spaces when possible, reducing work in finished living areas. Drop cloths and protective coverings limit dust and debris spread. Water service shutoffs get scheduled around household needs when possible, particularly for bathroom and kitchen access. Hot water service can be restored as soon as connections to the water heater are complete. Most customers maintain normal routines for cooking, bathing, and laundry through most of the project.
Plumb Medic communicates throughout repipe projects to keep customers informed. Daily updates explain progress and next-day plans. Schedule changes get communicated promptly when needed. Specific shutoff timing gets coordinated with household needs. Final cleanup leaves homes in good condition before project completion. Customers consistently report satisfaction with how we manage disruption during projects. Our goal is completing quality work while minimizing impact on daily life. The temporary disruption pays off through decades of reliable plumbing service after completion.
Insurance coverage for repipe varies significantly based on circumstances. Sudden pipe failures causing water damage are typically covered under standard homeowner policies, though policies vary. Gradual deterioration of pipes is generally not covered, since insurance addresses sudden and accidental damage rather than wear and tear. Polybutylene replacement specifically may be excluded by some policies due to known material problems. Each policy has specific terms, deductibles, and exclusions that affect claims.
Several situations sometimes generate insurance coverage for repipe-related expenses. Water damage from sudden pipe failures typically gets covered, including repair of the failed section and damage restoration. Insurance may cover extension of repair to address related sections, though policies vary. Mold remediation from water damage sometimes gets covered when sudden water exposure caused growth. Documentation supports claim processing, with detailed reports and photos helping adjusters understand situations. Plumb Medic provides documentation that supports insurance claim processing.
Insurance company requirements sometimes drive repipe rather than covering its cost. Some insurers require polybutylene replacement before issuing or renewing policies. Galvanized steel systems sometimes face similar requirements. Inspections during policy applications may identify material problems requiring replacement. Wisetack financing covers repipe projects when insurance does not apply. The investment in proactive repipe prevents far more expensive water damage from future failures, which insurance might cover but with significant deductibles and inconvenience. Plumb Medic helps customers understand options regardless of insurance situation.
Yes, repipe with quality materials typically increases home value and marketability. Modern PEX or copper systems eliminate concerns about aging or problematic pipes. Polybutylene replacement is particularly valuable since the material has earned negative reputation among buyers and inspectors. Galvanized steel removal eliminates discolored water and pressure problems that affect daily life. Documentation of repipe work provides records for buyer review during sales.
Several factors affect how much value repipe adds. Market conditions in specific neighborhoods influence buyer preferences and willingness to pay for upgrades. Higher-end neighborhoods often value modern systems more than budget-conscious markets. Recent repipe work commands premium versus older installations approaching end of useful life. Documentation quality affects buyer confidence in the work. Inspector findings during sales transactions can confirm or question repipe quality.
Plumb Medic provides comprehensive documentation supporting future home sales. Photos of completed work, permit records, and warranty documentation help future buyers understand the system. Customers report repipe projects often pay back significant portions of investment through faster sales and stronger offers. Insurance company requirements sometimes force buyers to upgrade pipes before closing, making completed repipe a selling point. Our quality work and warranty coverage build buyer confidence. The investment in proper repipe pays off through improved daily life, prevented water damage, and stronger home value. Customers consistently report satisfaction with repipe outcomes years after project completion.
Pipe repair addresses specific localized problems, while repipe replaces entire systems comprehensively. Repair work is appropriate for isolated issues like single pipe failures, specific damaged sections, or limited problem areas. Repair costs scale with the specific problem being addressed. Most plumbing service calls involve repair rather than repipe. Repair preserves existing systems while solving specific issues.
Repipe addresses widespread or systemic problems that repair cannot solve effectively. Whole-house material replacement makes sense when multiple sections show similar problems. Repipe costs significantly more than individual repairs but provides comprehensive solution. The decision between repair and repipe depends on system condition, repair history, and projected future problems. Plumb Medic evaluates each situation honestly to recommend appropriate scope.
Several specific situations clearly favor repipe over repair. Polybutylene systems warrant replacement due to known material problems regardless of current symptoms. Galvanized steel systems with widespread corrosion typically need full replacement. Aging copper systems with recurring pinhole leaks sometimes justify repipe over continued repairs. Insurance company requirements may drive replacement decisions. Real estate transactions sometimes require replacement before sale completion. Our recommendations reflect honest assessment of what works best for each specific situation. Customers benefit from professional guidance on the repair-versus-repipe decision based on their unique circumstances.
