Plumb Medic comes through for the win...again! My water heater was old and the piping was wonky. Nick installed a better water heater and brought all the wonky stuff up to code. I always recommend Plumb Medic for plumbing needs. They're awesome!
Cain Was super friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed late to get the job done and did great work Will Call again if needed and would definitely recommend
Plumb Medic is my go to for water leaks and other plumbing issues. I have used them on multiple occasions to solve tricky issues that are typical of older homes. They were quick to come out and assess and quick to complete the project. Cameron, Cole, and Corey were polite, diligent, and frankly good at what they do. Happily recommend Plumb Medic to others and will use them should I have a new issue arise.
HIGHLY recommend! So professional!! Arrived on time, great communication and went above and beyond!!! Very reasonably priced, too!!
Thank you so much for the great service. I called that morning because my toilet was continuously running, and you came out that day. You diagnosed the problem as too much pressure and fixed the problem, and got me back in code. Your professionalism and attention to detail are very much appreciated. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that needs a professional and reasonably priced plumbing service.
Completely thrilled with the service and the prompt responses. I called on the weekend and received a call back within 24 hours. They were honestly, professional and got us up to code! Thank You!
Nick replaced a wax ring on my son’s toilet. He said he was very friendly and did a great job!
I rely on reviews a good bit but rarely write them. The glowing reviews are what led me to call Cameron/Plumb Medic LLC to get an estimate for installing a new Toto toilet that I ordered and had sitting in boxes in my hallway to replace my 43 year old Briggs toilet, yes 43 years ! Cameron returned my call immediately, was very knowledgeable and gave me a price that beat 2 other local plumbing companies even offering a discount for 2 toilets at once. I only had the one but am expecting delivery tomorrow for the second one. Cain and Eric came the next day to install my toilet. They were down to earth, easy to talk to , professional hardworking guys that knew their stuff! Plus, they are animal lovers like myself. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure having them at my house. They installed my new Toto and I plan to try to request them for the second Toto install. After using numerous plumbers/plumbing companies through the years I am happy and relieved to have found Plumb Medic and plan on making them my "go to " plumbers. This may sound odd but I do love my Toto !!! Barb Above review was several years ago. This 2nd review is from March 13 2026. Cameron and Corey came and installed a new Bradford White water heater for me. They did an exceptional job with attention to detail. Cameron noticed water seeping from an old connection above his work, accessed it and made the repair at no extra cost. I asked about replacing my 40 plus year old handle on the main water shut off to house at back of basement. Cameron was thoughtful enough to suggest that he could move it lower so I could reach it without a ladder -hopefully I won’t ever need to. He replaced it with a ball valve handle which is superior to the old school round handle that exterior faucets use and gave me a discount since they were installing the water heater. I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Plumb Medic , Cameron and crew are the BEST.
As always they come through with a reasonable price and get the work done. I have used them multiple times and they will always be my first call.
Cameron and team did excellent and extensive work through our house. They cared for our home like it was theirs. Highly recommend.
I am a repeat client. They are very professional. They quickly diagnose problems and present alternative solutions to each issue. They are a pleasure to work with.
Cameron and Corey were professional, freindly, knowledgeable and honest. I told them the issues I was having and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. They don’t cut corners, and fix the problem RIGHT , and take pride in their work.
Cain and Eric were schedule to come and replace a weird leaking outdoor faucet and replace some stuff in a bathroom. They did this in the usual timely and professional manner. They noticed an indoor leak and opened the wall to find a bigger problem. Thank goodness and a mitigation company was called. At the same time I had a sewer problem and they quickly got Cole out to ream and camera the sewer. Highly recommend this service.
Called Plumb Medic after I got a 1300 water bill assuming I had a leak. Cole came out in a POURING rainstorm. Checked our meter outside getting soaked several times after shutting off house water, and came back to tell me we had no leak and there was no charge. I was shocked he would come out and not charge me. I will use Plumb Medic in the future for every plumbing issue. That’s amazing customer service.
Fantastic customer service! Excellent communication, and follow up, prompt, professional and very helpful and patient answering my questions. I highly recommend them without reservation!
We encountered the dreaded, dirty rusty water in our sinks and tubs and knew we needed to replace our water heater. I called Plumb Medic and after a brief discussion we were scheduled for a new install 2 days later. They were on time, on budget and the area was spic-and-span when they finished up. The quality of the joints and connections of the new copper piping needed was impressive - it was like a work of art. They were friendly, professional, honest and super easy and comfortable to do business with. I can highly recommend Plumb Medic without reservation!!
We had a fantastic experience with them. They were prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and completed the repair efficiently. The pricing was fair with no surprises. It’s hard to find reliable service these days, but they absolutely delivered. Highly recommend for any plumbing needs!
Clean install. On time. Professional and fair Price. Highly recommended
I definitely recommend Plumb Medic. Water heater finally broke and they came out and replaced it the same day. Good pricing and great customer service
Cole was capable, quick, and knowledgeable. He did solid work for a good price.
Plumb Medic was great to work with. We had a water issue and they came out quickly, figured out exactly what was going on, and explained everything clearly along the way. The technician was patient, knowledgeable, and really on top of his work. He also referred us to a water remediation company to dry out the affected areas, which made the whole situation much easier to handle. I really appreciated the professionalism and friendliness they showed throughout the process. Overall, a very good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
The entire experience was great from start to finish. It started with a phone call with Cameron. He gave me an estimate and when I mentioned I was getting estimates from other businesses he provided me with several questions to ask them. Next step was an in person estimate. Cole came out, gave an estimate then emailed me what we had discussed. When Cole came out with one other person (I forget his name) they were early, finished the work soner than they said, cleaned up then the bill was what we were quoted. Great service, great people and reasonable prices. I would recommend them to everyone adn will use the again when we need them.
I called Plumb Medic after discovering water in my garage. The owner, Cameron, came to my home at 8:30pm and detected a slab leak behind the water heater. Repairs were made the next day. Cameron is very personable and professional. I highly recommend him and his team for all plumbing needs.
Such great service. Knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Will definitely call them anytime I need a plumber.
Have been using Plumb Medic last 2 years and very satisfied. Cole was excellent. Strongly recommend!
Plumb Medic is absolutely the best. I’ve used them for multiple services and repairs, and every experience has been consistently excellent. Their communication is clear and timely, and the entire team is professional from start to finish. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and I always feel confident the work is done right. Truly the only plumbing company I trust and continue to use. Highly recommend!
Quick and responsive, friendly and helpful. Best plumber experience ever. 100% recommend.
Cameron and the team did an awesome job with our replumb. In and out in a day, competitive pricing, and they were great to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend
One of the most professional and efficient companies I’ve ever worked with. They came in and diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I can’t recommend them enough.
I would highly recommend!!! Cain and Eric went way above and beyond to help us out in our situation. They were very professional, knowledgeable, kind and answered all of our questions and concerns! I can not recommend them enough!
Cameron and his team have helped me out many times over the years, from leaks to running toilets and most recently, the replacement of my water heater. They’re always prompt, thorough and super respectful, their quotes are clear and transparent and they do a wonderful job explaining everything so you know exactly what you’re getting. I never feel like I’m being upsold or pressured into anything, it genuinely feels like they care - like it’s a friend or family member helping out. Their work is great too! Will hire again and again 😁
Cain and his brother Eric did an amazing job. I called Cameron and he was able to get someone out quickly despite a busy schedule. Honest, professional, on time, and no unnecessary repairs. Plus excellent pricing. All around the best —the only plumbing company I recommend.
They came when they said they would and the plumber was very nice and took care of it in the most efficient way possible, so there wasn't any superfluous charges. I highly recommend this company!
Reliable, clean, quick, fair priced. Thank you Plumb Medic for helping us! 🙂
Cameron and Corey did a fantastic job replacing my tankless hot water heater. Everything was explained to me.
We have used Plumb Medic several times over the years for our plumbing needs. Cameron and his team have always been honest and professional. Recently we had a toilet installed in which Cameron himself came out and installed. He arrived within the window he promised given the busy holiday season, which is extremely rare these days. There were some defects with toilet we purchased from Home Depot, which caused the install to take longer than expected. He had mentioned prior to coming out that his kid had a Christmas program that day, but should be able to install the toilet in time. Due to the toilet defect I’m pretty sure he missed his kid’s performance, which killed me inside. I wished he would have told me, because I would have told him to go and come back tomorrow. This just proves Cameron’s dedication to his craft and his customers. We appreciate him and his family for his dedication and highly recommend him and his team to anyone who has plumbing needs. Thank you again Cameron and we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Great response, communication, work and reasonable price. On site within a couple of hours for a service main break. Ask for Cole.
The gentleman that came was awesome! He explain everything he was looking at and how much it would cost beforehand. He told me if it was too much that he could break it down to what should he done first. He worked office fly and checked everything to make sure all was done correctly
Cameron and team are great guys and have always been good to finish projects and help in emergencies. I have used them to finish out a laundry room project, replace toilets, replace a water heater and fix a mainline break to my house. They have always been quick and fair! I have tried several companies and plumbmedic has always treated my emergencies as if it was their own home emergencies. Can’t go wrong with this company.
Great experience! Cole from plumb medic did a thorough assessment of the issue and explained everything in details.
Cam and Jesse went above and beyond for us. From the initial call they were professional and courteous while walking me through what needed to be done on my basement rough in. The bid was very fair and they showed up on time and completed the job quicker than I expected. No corners were cut and the job was meticulously done. They also replaced my hot water heater. I can’t say enough about the Plumb Medic. It is very refreshing to work with a company like theirs. I highly recommend Plumb Medic for any of your plumbing needs.
Used them 3 times, always show up on time, fixed the issue and their prices are great.

Water Filtration Systems in Woodstock, GA
Water quality varies significantly across different supplies and locations. Municipal water in Woodstock generally meets federal safety standards but may contain chlorine, chloramine, sediment, and other elements affecting taste, smell, and use. Well water in surrounding areas faces different challenges including hardness, iron, sulfur, bacteria, and other natural contaminants. Each water source presents specific issues that targeted filtration addresses. Plumb Medic begins evaluations with water testing to identify actual problems.
Whole-house filtration systems treat water at the point of entry to homes. Sediment filters remove particles that cause cloudy water and damage fixtures. Carbon filters reduce chlorine, chloramine, and improve taste and smell throughout the home. Specialty media address specific contaminants like iron, sulfur, or volatile organic compounds. Each filtration stage targets specific issues. Plumb Medic recommends multi-stage systems when multiple problems exist.
Water softeners specifically address hardness, the dissolved calcium and magnesium minerals that cause scale buildup. Hard water damages water heaters, tankless heat exchangers, and appliances over time. Soap and detergent effectiveness decreases with hard water, increasing usage. Spotting on dishes, fixtures, and shower doors comes from mineral deposits. Softeners use ion exchange to replace hardness minerals with sodium, producing soft water throughout the home. Salt-based and salt-free options exist with different operating principles.
Reverse osmosis systems provide highly purified water typically for drinking and cooking applications. The process forces water through semi-permeable membranes that block dissolved minerals, chemicals, and most contaminants. Multi-stage systems combine RO with carbon filtration and sediment removal for comprehensive treatment. Under-sink RO units provide purified water at single faucets. Whole-house RO systems treat all water but require larger equipment and waste more water during processing.
Point-of-use filtration treats water at specific fixtures rather than throughout entire homes. Under-sink filters serve kitchen and drinking water needs without treating water for bathing or laundry. Refrigerator filters provide filtered water and ice. Shower filters reduce chlorine specifically for bathing applications. These targeted solutions cost less than whole-house systems while addressing specific water quality concerns. Plumb Medic installs point-of-use systems alongside or instead of whole-house treatment depending on customer needs.
UV disinfection addresses bacterial concerns particularly for well water systems. Ultraviolet light kills bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms without adding chemicals. UV systems work continuously, treating water as it flows through. Sediment filtration must precede UV treatment since particles can shield organisms from UV exposure. Bulb replacement annually maintains effectiveness. Plumb Medic installs UV systems for well water customers and others with disinfection needs.
System maintenance varies by type and usage patterns. Sediment filters need replacement every 3 to 6 months depending on water sediment levels. Carbon filters typically last 6 to 12 months before replacement. Water softeners need salt addition every few weeks during normal operation. Reverse osmosis filters and membranes need periodic replacement following manufacturer schedules. Plumb Medic offers maintenance services that keep systems performing reliably without homeowners managing schedules.
Installation considerations affect system selection and placement. Whole-house systems need installation locations with adequate space, drainage for backwash, and electrical service in some cases. Water pressure affects system selection, with some filtration approaches reducing pressure significantly. Plumbing modifications during installation include bypass valves for service access, drain connections for backwash, and proper supply connections. Plumb Medic plans installations carefully to ensure long-term performance and serviceability.

Why Hire A Licensed Plumber For Your Water Filtration Systems
Professional water filtration installation ensures systems perform as intended without creating new problems. Plumb Medic technicians know how to evaluate water quality, select appropriate equipment, and install systems correctly. Improper installation creates leaks, low pressure, contamination risks, and system failures over time. Plumbing connections require proper materials, sizing, and code compliance. Drain connections for backwash systems need air gaps and proper venting. Electrical work for some systems must meet code requirements. The waived diagnostic fee, military and senior discounts, and Wisetack financing make professional service affordable. Plumb Medic backs every installation with warranty coverage and ongoing maintenance support. Manufacturer warranties on premium systems often require professional installation to remain valid. Calling a licensed plumber for water filtration ensures proper system selection, quality installation, and long-term performance. The investment in quality systems pays off through years of improved water quality.
Most Common Water Filtration Systems Questions
Water filtration questions usually focus on specific water quality issues, system costs, and which approach works best. Below are clear answers to the questions Woodstock homeowners ask most often before installing filtration systems.
Water filtration system costs vary significantly based on type and capacity. Point-of-use under-sink filters typically run $200 to $800 installed. Whole-house carbon filtration systems range from $1,200 to $3,500 installed for typical residential applications. Water softeners cost $1,500 to $4,000 installed depending on capacity and features. Reverse osmosis systems range from $400 for simple under-sink units to $5,000 or more for whole-house applications. Plumb Medic provides upfront pricing based on water test results and specific recommendations.
Several factors affect total system costs significantly. Water test results identify specific problems, with multiple issues requiring more comprehensive systems. Capacity needs based on household size affect equipment selection. Premium brands offer features and warranties that justify higher costs in many cases. Installation complexity varies based on existing plumbing, available space, and connection requirements. Drain availability for systems requiring backwash affects installation costs. Each factor gets evaluated honestly during project planning.
The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the installation, keeping costs lower. Wisetack financing covers water filtration projects through manageable monthly payments. Military and senior discounts apply to all installations. Some utility rebates apply to specific water-saving systems. The investment in quality water treatment pays off through improved daily life, protected appliances and plumbing, and water bill savings in some applications. Plumb Medic provides transparent pricing with no surprise charges. Customer satisfaction is built on quality work matching specific water quality needs.
Water filtration system needs depend on specific water quality issues and household preferences. Municipal water meets federal safety standards but often contains chlorine and other elements affecting taste, smell, and bathing experience. Well water frequently has issues with hardness, iron, sulfur, bacteria, or other natural contaminants. Each water source presents specific challenges that filtration can address.
Several signs indicate water filtration would benefit specific homes. Cloudy or discolored water suggests sediment or mineral problems. Bad tastes or smells indicate chemical or organic contamination. White scale on fixtures, in coffee makers, or on shower doors points to hard water. Dry skin and hair after bathing sometimes relates to water quality. Damaged appliances and plumbing fixtures show effects of poor water quality over time.
Plumb Medic begins consultations with water quality testing to identify actual issues rather than guessing. Test results guide specific recommendations matched to actual problems. Sometimes simple solutions like sediment filters or carbon filters address main concerns affordably. Other situations call for comprehensive treatment systems addressing multiple issues. Our recommendations balance water quality goals with budget considerations. Customers benefit from honest assessment based on testing rather than generic recommendations. The investment in appropriate filtration provides ongoing benefits to daily life and home protection.
Water filters and softeners address different water quality issues. Filters remove physical particles and chemical contaminants, including sediment, chlorine, organic compounds, and various impurities. Different filter types target specific issues, with sediment filters, carbon filters, and specialty media all serving different purposes. Filters generally do not remove dissolved minerals causing hardness.
Water softeners specifically address hardness through ion exchange. The system replaces calcium and magnesium minerals with sodium, producing soft water that prevents scale buildup throughout the home. Softening does not remove other contaminants, requiring filtration for those concerns. Salt-based softeners provide effective treatment but add small amounts of sodium to water. Salt-free systems condition water differently, preventing scale formation without ion exchange.
Plumb Medic recommends combined systems when both filtration and softening needs exist. Whole-house carbon filtration paired with water softening addresses chlorine, sediment, and hardness comprehensively. Sometimes single-purpose systems suffice for specific situations. Reverse osmosis adds another option for highly purified drinking water beyond what either filtration or softening provides alone. Water testing identifies specific needs that guide system recommendations. Customers benefit from understanding what each system addresses and which combinations match their specific water quality issues.
Maintenance schedules vary significantly by system type. Sediment filters typically need replacement every 3 to 6 months depending on water sediment levels. Carbon filters usually last 6 to 12 months before replacement. Water softener salt requires addition every few weeks during normal operation, with timing depending on water hardness and household use. Reverse osmosis pre-filters need replacement annually, with membranes lasting 2 to 3 years typically. UV bulbs require annual replacement.
Several factors affect actual maintenance frequency. Water quality affects how quickly filters become saturated or clogged. Household water usage influences component life, with higher usage requiring more frequent maintenance. System sizing affects maintenance intervals, with appropriately sized systems lasting longer between service. Salt quality affects softener performance and resin life. Proper maintenance extends system life significantly while neglected maintenance leads to premature failures.
Plumb Medic offers maintenance services that keep systems performing reliably. Annual inspection covers all aspects of installed systems. Filter replacement on appropriate schedules prevents performance degradation. Salt monitoring for water softeners ensures consistent softening. Documentation of maintenance work provides records for warranty purposes and home sales. The waived diagnostic fee on follow-up work encourages prompt response to identified issues. Periodic professional service costs less than emergency repairs after neglect causes failures. Customers who maintain filtration systems regularly enjoy years of reliable water quality.
Water softeners reduce pressure slightly during normal operation, typically 5 to 10 PSI through the system. Quality systems with adequate flow capacity minimize pressure loss. Undersized systems can cause significant pressure drops affecting fixture performance throughout the home. Proper system sizing during installation prevents most pressure issues. Pressure loss is generally not noticeable in homes with adequate incoming pressure.
Several factors affect pressure impacts from softening systems. System capacity must match household water demand to prevent restriction. Resin tank size affects flow rates, with larger tanks providing better flow. Pre-filtration systems sometimes add their own pressure loss, compounding effects. Bypass valves allow softener service without disrupting whole-house water service. Plumb Medic considers pressure impacts during system selection.
Plumb Medic measures incoming water pressure during evaluation visits. Pressure regulators may be needed for homes with very high incoming pressure beyond 80 PSI. Boost pumps occasionally help homes with marginal pressure that softening would compromise. Most installations work fine with appropriate system sizing relative to home demand. Our recommendations consider pressure factors alongside other water quality issues. Customers benefit from professional sizing rather than generic equipment selection. Quality installation produces water treatment without significant pressure impact.
Different filtration approaches target different contaminants. Sediment filters remove physical particles including sand, rust, and other debris. Carbon filters reduce chlorine, chloramine, volatile organic compounds, and improve taste and smell. Specialty media address specific contaminants like iron, sulfur, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, and others. Reverse osmosis removes dissolved minerals, chemicals, lead, fluoride, and most other contaminants through membrane filtration. UV light kills bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms without chemicals.
Several contaminants require specific treatment approaches. Lead contamination from old plumbing requires reverse osmosis or specific lead-targeted filters. Bacteria need UV treatment or chemical disinfection beyond standard filtration. Hardness requires water softening rather than filtration. Iron and manganese need oxidation followed by filtration in many cases. Sulfur smells from hydrogen sulfide require specific treatment approaches.
Plumb Medic identifies specific contaminants through water testing and recommends targeted treatment. Generic filtration approaches sometimes miss important contaminants, while targeted systems address actual issues effectively. Multiple filtration stages combine technologies to address comprehensive water quality concerns. Our recommendations match actual water test results rather than generic problems. Customers benefit from systems that solve their specific issues rather than overspending on unnecessary capabilities. Quality water treatment improves daily life and protects long-term health and home investments.
Quality filtration systems typically last 10 to 20 years with proper installation and maintenance. Water softener resin lasts 10 to 15 years before significant capacity loss. Tank components typically outlast resin, with shells and control valves often serving 20 years or more. Carbon filtration tanks last similar lifespans. UV system components except bulbs typically last decades. Each component has specific service life affecting overall system ownership.
Several factors affect system lifespans. Water quality affects component wear, with very hard or contaminated water shortening some component lives. Maintenance practices significantly affect longevity, with regular service extending life and neglect causing premature failures. System sizing affects stress on components, with adequately sized systems lasting longer than overworked undersized systems. Quality of installation matters, with proper installation supporting long-term performance.
Plumb Medic recommends quality systems backed by manufacturer warranties typically running 5 to 10 years on major components. Our installation work supports warranty coverage. Maintenance services extend system life through proper care. Component replacement during system life is expected and addressed during service visits. Eventually complete system replacement makes sense, particularly when efficiency improvements or capacity changes argue for new equipment. Customers benefit from honest assessment of system condition and remaining service life during inspections. The investment in quality systems pays off through years of reliable water treatment.
Some basic point-of-use filters are reasonable for handy homeowners to install. Under-sink filters and refrigerator connections often come with detailed instructions for DIY installation. These simple systems require basic plumbing skills and standard tools. Many homeowners successfully install basic filters without professional help.
Several factors complicate DIY installation of major systems significantly. Whole-house systems require modifications to main water supply lines that affect entire homes. Drain connections for backwash systems need proper air gaps and venting that code requires. Electrical connections for some systems must meet specific requirements. Sizing decisions affect system performance, with mistakes creating ongoing problems. Bypass valve installation enables service access but requires proper plumbing connections.
Plumb Medic makes professional installation accessible through transparent pricing, financing, and discounts. The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the work, and our installations are backed by warranty. Manufacturer warranties on premium systems often require professional installation to remain valid. Water test results inform proper system selection rather than guessing at needs. Code compliance affects installations in ways that licensed plumbers understand. The total cost difference between DIY and professional installation is smaller than people expect for major systems. Calling a licensed plumber ensures quality results and ongoing support for years of reliable water treatment.
