Plumb Medic comes through for the win...again! My water heater was old and the piping was wonky. Nick installed a better water heater and brought all the wonky stuff up to code. I always recommend Plumb Medic for plumbing needs. They're awesome!
Cain Was super friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed late to get the job done and did great work Will Call again if needed and would definitely recommend
Plumb Medic is my go to for water leaks and other plumbing issues. I have used them on multiple occasions to solve tricky issues that are typical of older homes. They were quick to come out and assess and quick to complete the project. Cameron, Cole, and Corey were polite, diligent, and frankly good at what they do. Happily recommend Plumb Medic to others and will use them should I have a new issue arise.
HIGHLY recommend! So professional!! Arrived on time, great communication and went above and beyond!!! Very reasonably priced, too!!
Thank you so much for the great service. I called that morning because my toilet was continuously running, and you came out that day. You diagnosed the problem as too much pressure and fixed the problem, and got me back in code. Your professionalism and attention to detail are very much appreciated. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that needs a professional and reasonably priced plumbing service.
Completely thrilled with the service and the prompt responses. I called on the weekend and received a call back within 24 hours. They were honestly, professional and got us up to code! Thank You!
Nick replaced a wax ring on my son’s toilet. He said he was very friendly and did a great job!
I rely on reviews a good bit but rarely write them. The glowing reviews are what led me to call Cameron/Plumb Medic LLC to get an estimate for installing a new Toto toilet that I ordered and had sitting in boxes in my hallway to replace my 43 year old Briggs toilet, yes 43 years ! Cameron returned my call immediately, was very knowledgeable and gave me a price that beat 2 other local plumbing companies even offering a discount for 2 toilets at once. I only had the one but am expecting delivery tomorrow for the second one. Cain and Eric came the next day to install my toilet. They were down to earth, easy to talk to , professional hardworking guys that knew their stuff! Plus, they are animal lovers like myself. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure having them at my house. They installed my new Toto and I plan to try to request them for the second Toto install. After using numerous plumbers/plumbing companies through the years I am happy and relieved to have found Plumb Medic and plan on making them my "go to " plumbers. This may sound odd but I do love my Toto !!! Barb Above review was several years ago. This 2nd review is from March 13 2026. Cameron and Corey came and installed a new Bradford White water heater for me. They did an exceptional job with attention to detail. Cameron noticed water seeping from an old connection above his work, accessed it and made the repair at no extra cost. I asked about replacing my 40 plus year old handle on the main water shut off to house at back of basement. Cameron was thoughtful enough to suggest that he could move it lower so I could reach it without a ladder -hopefully I won’t ever need to. He replaced it with a ball valve handle which is superior to the old school round handle that exterior faucets use and gave me a discount since they were installing the water heater. I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Plumb Medic , Cameron and crew are the BEST.
As always they come through with a reasonable price and get the work done. I have used them multiple times and they will always be my first call.
Cameron and team did excellent and extensive work through our house. They cared for our home like it was theirs. Highly recommend.
I am a repeat client. They are very professional. They quickly diagnose problems and present alternative solutions to each issue. They are a pleasure to work with.
Cameron and Corey were professional, freindly, knowledgeable and honest. I told them the issues I was having and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. They don’t cut corners, and fix the problem RIGHT , and take pride in their work.
Cain and Eric were schedule to come and replace a weird leaking outdoor faucet and replace some stuff in a bathroom. They did this in the usual timely and professional manner. They noticed an indoor leak and opened the wall to find a bigger problem. Thank goodness and a mitigation company was called. At the same time I had a sewer problem and they quickly got Cole out to ream and camera the sewer. Highly recommend this service.
Called Plumb Medic after I got a 1300 water bill assuming I had a leak. Cole came out in a POURING rainstorm. Checked our meter outside getting soaked several times after shutting off house water, and came back to tell me we had no leak and there was no charge. I was shocked he would come out and not charge me. I will use Plumb Medic in the future for every plumbing issue. That’s amazing customer service.
Fantastic customer service! Excellent communication, and follow up, prompt, professional and very helpful and patient answering my questions. I highly recommend them without reservation!
We encountered the dreaded, dirty rusty water in our sinks and tubs and knew we needed to replace our water heater. I called Plumb Medic and after a brief discussion we were scheduled for a new install 2 days later. They were on time, on budget and the area was spic-and-span when they finished up. The quality of the joints and connections of the new copper piping needed was impressive - it was like a work of art. They were friendly, professional, honest and super easy and comfortable to do business with. I can highly recommend Plumb Medic without reservation!!
We had a fantastic experience with them. They were prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and completed the repair efficiently. The pricing was fair with no surprises. It’s hard to find reliable service these days, but they absolutely delivered. Highly recommend for any plumbing needs!
Clean install. On time. Professional and fair Price. Highly recommended
I definitely recommend Plumb Medic. Water heater finally broke and they came out and replaced it the same day. Good pricing and great customer service
Cole was capable, quick, and knowledgeable. He did solid work for a good price.
Plumb Medic was great to work with. We had a water issue and they came out quickly, figured out exactly what was going on, and explained everything clearly along the way. The technician was patient, knowledgeable, and really on top of his work. He also referred us to a water remediation company to dry out the affected areas, which made the whole situation much easier to handle. I really appreciated the professionalism and friendliness they showed throughout the process. Overall, a very good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
The entire experience was great from start to finish. It started with a phone call with Cameron. He gave me an estimate and when I mentioned I was getting estimates from other businesses he provided me with several questions to ask them. Next step was an in person estimate. Cole came out, gave an estimate then emailed me what we had discussed. When Cole came out with one other person (I forget his name) they were early, finished the work soner than they said, cleaned up then the bill was what we were quoted. Great service, great people and reasonable prices. I would recommend them to everyone adn will use the again when we need them.
I called Plumb Medic after discovering water in my garage. The owner, Cameron, came to my home at 8:30pm and detected a slab leak behind the water heater. Repairs were made the next day. Cameron is very personable and professional. I highly recommend him and his team for all plumbing needs.
Such great service. Knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Will definitely call them anytime I need a plumber.
Have been using Plumb Medic last 2 years and very satisfied. Cole was excellent. Strongly recommend!
Plumb Medic is absolutely the best. I’ve used them for multiple services and repairs, and every experience has been consistently excellent. Their communication is clear and timely, and the entire team is professional from start to finish. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and I always feel confident the work is done right. Truly the only plumbing company I trust and continue to use. Highly recommend!
Quick and responsive, friendly and helpful. Best plumber experience ever. 100% recommend.
Cameron and the team did an awesome job with our replumb. In and out in a day, competitive pricing, and they were great to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend
One of the most professional and efficient companies I’ve ever worked with. They came in and diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I can’t recommend them enough.
I would highly recommend!!! Cain and Eric went way above and beyond to help us out in our situation. They were very professional, knowledgeable, kind and answered all of our questions and concerns! I can not recommend them enough!
Cameron and his team have helped me out many times over the years, from leaks to running toilets and most recently, the replacement of my water heater. They’re always prompt, thorough and super respectful, their quotes are clear and transparent and they do a wonderful job explaining everything so you know exactly what you’re getting. I never feel like I’m being upsold or pressured into anything, it genuinely feels like they care - like it’s a friend or family member helping out. Their work is great too! Will hire again and again 😁
Cain and his brother Eric did an amazing job. I called Cameron and he was able to get someone out quickly despite a busy schedule. Honest, professional, on time, and no unnecessary repairs. Plus excellent pricing. All around the best —the only plumbing company I recommend.
They came when they said they would and the plumber was very nice and took care of it in the most efficient way possible, so there wasn't any superfluous charges. I highly recommend this company!
Reliable, clean, quick, fair priced. Thank you Plumb Medic for helping us! 🙂
Cameron and Corey did a fantastic job replacing my tankless hot water heater. Everything was explained to me.
We have used Plumb Medic several times over the years for our plumbing needs. Cameron and his team have always been honest and professional. Recently we had a toilet installed in which Cameron himself came out and installed. He arrived within the window he promised given the busy holiday season, which is extremely rare these days. There were some defects with toilet we purchased from Home Depot, which caused the install to take longer than expected. He had mentioned prior to coming out that his kid had a Christmas program that day, but should be able to install the toilet in time. Due to the toilet defect I’m pretty sure he missed his kid’s performance, which killed me inside. I wished he would have told me, because I would have told him to go and come back tomorrow. This just proves Cameron’s dedication to his craft and his customers. We appreciate him and his family for his dedication and highly recommend him and his team to anyone who has plumbing needs. Thank you again Cameron and we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Great response, communication, work and reasonable price. On site within a couple of hours for a service main break. Ask for Cole.
The gentleman that came was awesome! He explain everything he was looking at and how much it would cost beforehand. He told me if it was too much that he could break it down to what should he done first. He worked office fly and checked everything to make sure all was done correctly
Cameron and team are great guys and have always been good to finish projects and help in emergencies. I have used them to finish out a laundry room project, replace toilets, replace a water heater and fix a mainline break to my house. They have always been quick and fair! I have tried several companies and plumbmedic has always treated my emergencies as if it was their own home emergencies. Can’t go wrong with this company.
Great experience! Cole from plumb medic did a thorough assessment of the issue and explained everything in details.
Cam and Jesse went above and beyond for us. From the initial call they were professional and courteous while walking me through what needed to be done on my basement rough in. The bid was very fair and they showed up on time and completed the job quicker than I expected. No corners were cut and the job was meticulously done. They also replaced my hot water heater. I can’t say enough about the Plumb Medic. It is very refreshing to work with a company like theirs. I highly recommend Plumb Medic for any of your plumbing needs.
Used them 3 times, always show up on time, fixed the issue and their prices are great.

Sump Pump Repair in Woodstock, GA
Sump pumps fail in various ways that require different repair approaches. Float switch problems are among the most common issues, affecting whether pumps activate when water rises. Stuck floats prevent pump operation entirely or cause pumps to run continuously. Damaged float wires create electrical issues. Mechanical float arms can break or bind. Each float problem affects pump reliability significantly. Plumb Medic technicians diagnose float issues accurately during repair calls.
Check valve failures cause water to flow back into sump pits when pumps stop. Failed check valves create cycling problems where pumps run frequently for short periods. The constant cycling shortens pump life and increases electrical costs. Quality replacement check valves restore proper system operation. Sometimes both internal and external check valves need replacement for complete repair. Plumb Medic carries quality check valves on every truck for first-visit repairs.
Motor problems range from minor issues to complete failures. Worn impellers reduce pumping capacity gradually until pumps cannot keep up with water flow. Burned-out motors typically require complete pump replacement rather than repair, since motor replacement often costs nearly as much as new pumps. Electrical issues sometimes affect motors through shorts or wiring problems. Plumb Medic evaluates motor condition and recommends repair or replacement based on specific situations.
Discharge pipe problems affect overall system function even when pumps work properly. Clogs in discharge lines reduce flow capacity, causing pumps to work harder. Frozen discharge lines during winter completely block water flow. Settling or damage to outdoor discharge sections directs water back toward foundations. Improper discharge points cause water to return to the sump pit. Plumb Medic inspects discharge systems during repair work and addresses any issues found.
Sump pit problems sometimes accompany pump issues. Silt and debris accumulation affects pump operation by clogging intake screens. Damaged pit liners can cause water bypass or instability. Cracked pits allow ground water entry through problems other than the intended drain system. Plumb Medic cleans and inspects pits during repair work, addressing any developing problems before they cause additional issues.
Electrical problems affect sump pump operation in various ways. Tripped circuit breakers leave pumps without power exactly when needed during storms. GFCI outlets sometimes trip from age-related sensitivity rather than actual electrical faults. Loose wire connections cause intermittent operation. Damaged power cords create both safety and operational issues. Plumb Medic diagnoses electrical issues during repair calls and recommends solutions, sometimes coordinating with electricians for complex situations.
Battery backup system problems affect emergency operation specifically. Dead batteries fail to power pumps during outages when needed most. Battery charger failures prevent batteries from maintaining proper charge. Float switches on backup pumps sometimes fail differently than primary pump floats. Smart system features like alerts and connectivity sometimes fail while basic pumping continues working. Plumb Medic services battery backup systems alongside primary pump repair work.

Quality repair maintains reliable protection through future weather events.
Most Common Sump Pump Repair Questions
Sump pump repair questions usually focus on cost, urgency, and whether repair makes sense compared to replacement. Below are clear answers to the questions Woodstock homeowners ask most often when facing pump problems.
Sump pump repair costs vary based on the problem and parts needed. Simple repairs like float switch replacement typically run $200 to $400 including parts and labor. Check valve replacement usually costs $150 to $300. Discharge pipe repairs range from $200 to $600 depending on extent and location. Motor problems often warrant complete pump replacement rather than repair, with replacement costing $700 to $1,500 in most cases. Plumb Medic provides upfront pricing before any work begins.
Several factors affect repair costs. Pump quality and brand influence parts costs significantly, with premium pumps having higher parts costs but typically longer lifespans. Access conditions affect labor time, with difficult-to-reach pumps adding time and cost. Multiple problems on the same system add labor time but get bundled efficiency. After-hours emergency service carries higher rates, though pricing remains transparent. Each situation gets evaluated honestly during diagnosis.
The repair-versus-replace decision affects pricing recommendations. If repair costs approach 50% of replacement cost on aging pumps, replacement often makes more sense. Younger pumps with single-component failures are usually worth repairing. Plumb Medic provides honest assessments of specific situations. The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the work, keeping costs lower. Wisetack financing covers larger repairs or replacements. Military and senior discounts apply to all sump pump work. Customers receive recommendations based on what makes sense for their specific situation.
Several signs indicate sump pump problems requiring professional attention. Pumps that run continuously without stopping suggest float switch problems or check valve failures. Frequent cycling where pumps turn on and off rapidly points to check valve issues or improper pit sizing. Strange noises during operation signal mechanical problems developing. Visible water in the pit when the pump should be running indicates failure to activate. Each symptom warrants prompt investigation.
Several other signs commonly indicate problems. Higher than normal electrical bills sometimes relate to pumps running excessively due to check valve failures. Damp basement floors or walls suggest pumps may not be keeping up with water flow adequately. Smell or visible mold growth in basements indicates moisture problems possibly related to pump performance. Unusual tripping of circuit breakers protecting sump pumps signals electrical issues. Each problem affects overall flood protection effectiveness.
Plumb Medic responds quickly to sump pump concerns, given the importance of reliable flood protection. Our 24/7 emergency response covers urgent situations when pumps fail during active flooding. The waived diagnostic fee on repairs encourages prompt response to identified problems. Testing pumps regularly catches developing issues before failures occur. Periodic professional inspection identifies problems homeowners might miss. The cost of professional repair is far less than flooding damage from undetected pump problems.
Most sump pump repairs can be completed within 1 to 3 hours from arrival when parts are available. Float switch replacement typically completes in under an hour. Check valve replacement usually takes about an hour. Pump replacement, when needed, generally finishes in 2 to 3 hours for accessible installations. Battery backup system repairs vary based on specific issues.
Several factors affect actual repair duration. Pump access conditions affect work time significantly. Older pumps that have corroded into pits sometimes require additional time for removal. Discharge pipe modifications during repair add time when needed. Electrical work sometimes extends repair duration when included. Multiple system issues addressed together add time but get bundled efficiency.
Plumb Medic prioritizes sump pump repair given its flood protection importance. Most calls receive a technician within hours during business operation, often the same day. Our 24/7 emergency response addresses urgent situations any time. Trucks carry common replacement parts including pumps, float switches, and check valves to enable first-visit repair in most cases. Specialty parts occasionally require ordering, though we work to minimize delays. The combination of fast response and well-equipped trucks restores flood protection quickly. Customers benefit from rapid repair completion.
The decision between repair and replacement depends on several factors. Pump age is the biggest factor, with units over 7 to 8 years old being candidates for replacement rather than continued repair. Repair costs that approach 50% of replacement cost typically argue for replacement instead. Multiple component failures suggest broader pump problems where replacement makes more sense. Pumps with poor track records of reliability sometimes warrant replacement even when current repair costs would be reasonable.
Several factors favor repair over replacement. Younger pumps with isolated failures are usually worth repairing. Single component failures like float switches or check valves are inexpensive to address compared to replacement. Quality premium pumps justify more repair investment than budget pumps. Recent installation argues against early replacement when components can be repaired. Each factor contributes to the appropriate decision.
Plumb Medic provides honest repair-versus-replace assessments without bias toward either outcome. We explain specific problems, repair costs, and replacement alternatives clearly. Customers make final decisions with complete information. Quality pumps usually justify repair investment many times over. Budget pumps that have failed repeatedly often justify replacement with better-quality fixtures. The diagnostic fee is waived whether you choose repair or replacement, since we handle the work either way. Our goal is the best long-term outcome for your home, not the bigger invoice.
Several common causes lead to sump pump failures. Mechanical wear from normal use eventually affects all pumps, with motors, impellers, and bearings deteriorating over years of operation. Float switch problems develop from various causes including mechanical wear, debris accumulation, and electrical issues. Check valve failures allow backflow that increases pump cycling and shortens pump life. Power surges and electrical issues can damage pumps suddenly. Each cause has specific characteristics affecting repair approach.
Several specific factors accelerate pump failures. Sediment and debris in sump pits cause pump intake clogging and impeller wear. Cycling too frequently due to improper pit sizing or check valve problems shortens pump life significantly. Running pumps dry damages motors when float switches fail. Power outages stress pumps during high-demand periods exactly when they are most needed. Heavy use during wet seasons or unusual conditions stresses pumps more than light use. Each factor contributes to total failure risk.
Plumb Medic identifies failure causes during repair work, which helps prevent recurrence. Sometimes addressing root causes matters more than just repairing visible failures. Pit cleaning addresses sediment problems. Check valve replacement prevents cycling-related wear. Larger pit installation reduces cycling frequency. Quality pump installation prevents many problems that affect cheaper installations. Our recommendations balance immediate repair with long-term solutions. Customers benefit from understanding why pumps failed and how to prevent future problems.
Continuous pump operation typically indicates one of several specific problems. Stuck float switches that keep the pump activated regardless of actual water level cause continuous running. Failed check valves allow pumped water to flow back into the pit, creating endless cycling that appears continuous. High groundwater conditions during heavy rain or seasonal changes sometimes overwhelm pump capacity, causing extended runtime. Each cause has specific solutions.
Several other issues sometimes cause continuous operation. Discharge pipe problems including clogs, freezing, or improper routing can cause water to return to the pit. Pit sizing problems where the pit is too small cause pumps to cycle constantly without ever actually pumping water away. Electrical problems sometimes cause float switches to read incorrectly. Multiple connected problems can create continuous operation. Plumb Medic diagnoses specific causes during repair calls.
Plumb Medic responds quickly to continuous operation reports because the problem stresses pumps significantly. Continuous running shortens pump life dramatically and increases electrical costs. Sometimes simple repairs like float switch cleaning resolve issues, while other situations require more extensive work. Camera inspection of discharge lines may identify problems beyond the pump itself. Our diagnostic process addresses both symptoms and underlying causes. Customers benefit from comprehensive solutions rather than temporary fixes that allow problems to recur.
Battery backup systems have unique components requiring specialized repair knowledge. Battery problems are the most common backup system issues, including failed batteries, connection corrosion, and charger failures. Battery testing identifies specific problems quickly. Replacement batteries typically last 3 to 5 years before needing replacement themselves. Plumb Medic services battery backup systems alongside primary pump work in most cases.
Several specific backup system components sometimes need repair. Backup pump motors are typically smaller than primary pumps and may fail differently. Float switches on backup systems often differ from primary pump floats. Smart features including alerts, connectivity, and monitoring sometimes fail while basic pumping continues. Battery charger components fail occasionally, leaving batteries unable to maintain charge. Each component has specific repair approaches.
Plumb Medic stocks common backup system parts on trucks for first-visit repairs. Our team understands different backup system designs from major manufacturers including Basement Watchdog, Liberty, and Zoeller. Smart system repairs sometimes require manufacturer support for advanced features. Battery replacement is straightforward when needed, though battery quality affects expected lifespan. Customers benefit from comprehensive service covering both primary and backup systems. The waived diagnostic fee applies to backup system work just like primary pump repairs.
Some basic sump pump maintenance is reasonable for handy homeowners. Cleaning sump pits to remove debris and silt is straightforward. Testing pump operation by adding water to trigger activation tests basic function. Checking for proper power connection identifies electrical problems. Visual inspection of components catches obvious issues. These basic tasks supplement professional service rather than replacing it.
Several factors complicate DIY sump pump repair significantly. Diagnosing actual problems versus symptoms requires experience to interpret correctly. Wrong replacement parts cause continued failures or new problems. Electrical work on sump pumps creates safety risks for inexperienced workers. Improper installation of replacement components creates leaks or unreliable operation. Code requirements affect electrical and discharge work. Each factor argues for professional repair.
Plumb Medic makes professional repair affordable through transparent pricing, financing, and discounts. The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the work, and our repairs are backed by warranty. Manufacturer warranties on quality pumps often require professional repair to remain valid. Insurance coverage for flooding damage often depends on professional pump documentation. The total cost difference between DIY and professional repair is small compared to potential consequences of pump failure during flooding events. Calling a licensed plumber protects your home and ensures reliable flood protection. We handle work efficiently while you focus on other things, and our work prevents the very flooding situations that pumps exist to address.
