Plumb Medic comes through for the win...again! My water heater was old and the piping was wonky. Nick installed a better water heater and brought all the wonky stuff up to code. I always recommend Plumb Medic for plumbing needs. They're awesome!
Cain Was super friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed late to get the job done and did great work Will Call again if needed and would definitely recommend
Plumb Medic is my go to for water leaks and other plumbing issues. I have used them on multiple occasions to solve tricky issues that are typical of older homes. They were quick to come out and assess and quick to complete the project. Cameron, Cole, and Corey were polite, diligent, and frankly good at what they do. Happily recommend Plumb Medic to others and will use them should I have a new issue arise.
HIGHLY recommend! So professional!! Arrived on time, great communication and went above and beyond!!! Very reasonably priced, too!!
Thank you so much for the great service. I called that morning because my toilet was continuously running, and you came out that day. You diagnosed the problem as too much pressure and fixed the problem, and got me back in code. Your professionalism and attention to detail are very much appreciated. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that needs a professional and reasonably priced plumbing service.
Completely thrilled with the service and the prompt responses. I called on the weekend and received a call back within 24 hours. They were honestly, professional and got us up to code! Thank You!
Nick replaced a wax ring on my son’s toilet. He said he was very friendly and did a great job!
I rely on reviews a good bit but rarely write them. The glowing reviews are what led me to call Cameron/Plumb Medic LLC to get an estimate for installing a new Toto toilet that I ordered and had sitting in boxes in my hallway to replace my 43 year old Briggs toilet, yes 43 years ! Cameron returned my call immediately, was very knowledgeable and gave me a price that beat 2 other local plumbing companies even offering a discount for 2 toilets at once. I only had the one but am expecting delivery tomorrow for the second one. Cain and Eric came the next day to install my toilet. They were down to earth, easy to talk to , professional hardworking guys that knew their stuff! Plus, they are animal lovers like myself. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure having them at my house. They installed my new Toto and I plan to try to request them for the second Toto install. After using numerous plumbers/plumbing companies through the years I am happy and relieved to have found Plumb Medic and plan on making them my "go to " plumbers. This may sound odd but I do love my Toto !!! Barb Above review was several years ago. This 2nd review is from March 13 2026. Cameron and Corey came and installed a new Bradford White water heater for me. They did an exceptional job with attention to detail. Cameron noticed water seeping from an old connection above his work, accessed it and made the repair at no extra cost. I asked about replacing my 40 plus year old handle on the main water shut off to house at back of basement. Cameron was thoughtful enough to suggest that he could move it lower so I could reach it without a ladder -hopefully I won’t ever need to. He replaced it with a ball valve handle which is superior to the old school round handle that exterior faucets use and gave me a discount since they were installing the water heater. I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Plumb Medic , Cameron and crew are the BEST.
As always they come through with a reasonable price and get the work done. I have used them multiple times and they will always be my first call.
Cameron and team did excellent and extensive work through our house. They cared for our home like it was theirs. Highly recommend.
I am a repeat client. They are very professional. They quickly diagnose problems and present alternative solutions to each issue. They are a pleasure to work with.
Cameron and Corey were professional, freindly, knowledgeable and honest. I told them the issues I was having and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. They don’t cut corners, and fix the problem RIGHT , and take pride in their work.
Cain and Eric were schedule to come and replace a weird leaking outdoor faucet and replace some stuff in a bathroom. They did this in the usual timely and professional manner. They noticed an indoor leak and opened the wall to find a bigger problem. Thank goodness and a mitigation company was called. At the same time I had a sewer problem and they quickly got Cole out to ream and camera the sewer. Highly recommend this service.
Called Plumb Medic after I got a 1300 water bill assuming I had a leak. Cole came out in a POURING rainstorm. Checked our meter outside getting soaked several times after shutting off house water, and came back to tell me we had no leak and there was no charge. I was shocked he would come out and not charge me. I will use Plumb Medic in the future for every plumbing issue. That’s amazing customer service.
Fantastic customer service! Excellent communication, and follow up, prompt, professional and very helpful and patient answering my questions. I highly recommend them without reservation!
We encountered the dreaded, dirty rusty water in our sinks and tubs and knew we needed to replace our water heater. I called Plumb Medic and after a brief discussion we were scheduled for a new install 2 days later. They were on time, on budget and the area was spic-and-span when they finished up. The quality of the joints and connections of the new copper piping needed was impressive - it was like a work of art. They were friendly, professional, honest and super easy and comfortable to do business with. I can highly recommend Plumb Medic without reservation!!
We had a fantastic experience with them. They were prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and completed the repair efficiently. The pricing was fair with no surprises. It’s hard to find reliable service these days, but they absolutely delivered. Highly recommend for any plumbing needs!
Clean install. On time. Professional and fair Price. Highly recommended
I definitely recommend Plumb Medic. Water heater finally broke and they came out and replaced it the same day. Good pricing and great customer service
Cole was capable, quick, and knowledgeable. He did solid work for a good price.
Plumb Medic was great to work with. We had a water issue and they came out quickly, figured out exactly what was going on, and explained everything clearly along the way. The technician was patient, knowledgeable, and really on top of his work. He also referred us to a water remediation company to dry out the affected areas, which made the whole situation much easier to handle. I really appreciated the professionalism and friendliness they showed throughout the process. Overall, a very good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
The entire experience was great from start to finish. It started with a phone call with Cameron. He gave me an estimate and when I mentioned I was getting estimates from other businesses he provided me with several questions to ask them. Next step was an in person estimate. Cole came out, gave an estimate then emailed me what we had discussed. When Cole came out with one other person (I forget his name) they were early, finished the work soner than they said, cleaned up then the bill was what we were quoted. Great service, great people and reasonable prices. I would recommend them to everyone adn will use the again when we need them.
I called Plumb Medic after discovering water in my garage. The owner, Cameron, came to my home at 8:30pm and detected a slab leak behind the water heater. Repairs were made the next day. Cameron is very personable and professional. I highly recommend him and his team for all plumbing needs.
Such great service. Knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Will definitely call them anytime I need a plumber.
Have been using Plumb Medic last 2 years and very satisfied. Cole was excellent. Strongly recommend!
Plumb Medic is absolutely the best. I’ve used them for multiple services and repairs, and every experience has been consistently excellent. Their communication is clear and timely, and the entire team is professional from start to finish. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and I always feel confident the work is done right. Truly the only plumbing company I trust and continue to use. Highly recommend!
Quick and responsive, friendly and helpful. Best plumber experience ever. 100% recommend.
Cameron and the team did an awesome job with our replumb. In and out in a day, competitive pricing, and they were great to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend
One of the most professional and efficient companies I’ve ever worked with. They came in and diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I can’t recommend them enough.
I would highly recommend!!! Cain and Eric went way above and beyond to help us out in our situation. They were very professional, knowledgeable, kind and answered all of our questions and concerns! I can not recommend them enough!
Cameron and his team have helped me out many times over the years, from leaks to running toilets and most recently, the replacement of my water heater. They’re always prompt, thorough and super respectful, their quotes are clear and transparent and they do a wonderful job explaining everything so you know exactly what you’re getting. I never feel like I’m being upsold or pressured into anything, it genuinely feels like they care - like it’s a friend or family member helping out. Their work is great too! Will hire again and again 😁
Cain and his brother Eric did an amazing job. I called Cameron and he was able to get someone out quickly despite a busy schedule. Honest, professional, on time, and no unnecessary repairs. Plus excellent pricing. All around the best —the only plumbing company I recommend.
They came when they said they would and the plumber was very nice and took care of it in the most efficient way possible, so there wasn't any superfluous charges. I highly recommend this company!
Reliable, clean, quick, fair priced. Thank you Plumb Medic for helping us! 🙂
Cameron and Corey did a fantastic job replacing my tankless hot water heater. Everything was explained to me.
We have used Plumb Medic several times over the years for our plumbing needs. Cameron and his team have always been honest and professional. Recently we had a toilet installed in which Cameron himself came out and installed. He arrived within the window he promised given the busy holiday season, which is extremely rare these days. There were some defects with toilet we purchased from Home Depot, which caused the install to take longer than expected. He had mentioned prior to coming out that his kid had a Christmas program that day, but should be able to install the toilet in time. Due to the toilet defect I’m pretty sure he missed his kid’s performance, which killed me inside. I wished he would have told me, because I would have told him to go and come back tomorrow. This just proves Cameron’s dedication to his craft and his customers. We appreciate him and his family for his dedication and highly recommend him and his team to anyone who has plumbing needs. Thank you again Cameron and we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Great response, communication, work and reasonable price. On site within a couple of hours for a service main break. Ask for Cole.
The gentleman that came was awesome! He explain everything he was looking at and how much it would cost beforehand. He told me if it was too much that he could break it down to what should he done first. He worked office fly and checked everything to make sure all was done correctly
Cameron and team are great guys and have always been good to finish projects and help in emergencies. I have used them to finish out a laundry room project, replace toilets, replace a water heater and fix a mainline break to my house. They have always been quick and fair! I have tried several companies and plumbmedic has always treated my emergencies as if it was their own home emergencies. Can’t go wrong with this company.
Great experience! Cole from plumb medic did a thorough assessment of the issue and explained everything in details.
Cam and Jesse went above and beyond for us. From the initial call they were professional and courteous while walking me through what needed to be done on my basement rough in. The bid was very fair and they showed up on time and completed the job quicker than I expected. No corners were cut and the job was meticulously done. They also replaced my hot water heater. I can’t say enough about the Plumb Medic. It is very refreshing to work with a company like theirs. I highly recommend Plumb Medic for any of your plumbing needs.
Used them 3 times, always show up on time, fixed the issue and their prices are great.

Water Supply Lines in Woodstock, GA
Water supply lines come in different forms serving specific applications. Main service lines connect homes to municipal water meters or wells, typically running underground from property edges to homes. Branch lines distribute water from main service points throughout buildings to individual fixtures and appliances. Fixture supply lines, the short flexible connectors visible under sinks and behind toilets, link branch lines to specific fixtures. Each application has specific material and installation requirements.
Main service line installation and repair involves significant work due to length and depth typically required. PEX and copper are common materials for new installations, with size depending on home requirements and distance from meters. Excavation work usually applies to main service replacements, though trenchless methods sometimes work. Connections to municipal meters require coordination with water utilities. Plumb Medic handles main service line projects from planning through completion, including utility coordination and inspections.
Branch line work covers the network of pipes distributing water throughout homes. Hot and cold water supply lines run from main service connections through walls, ceilings, and floors to reach all fixtures. PEX has become dominant for new installations due to flexibility, freeze resistance, and reasonable cost. Copper remains popular for traditional installations and where appearance matters. CPVC works in many applications at moderate cost. Plumb Medic uses appropriate materials based on project requirements and customer preferences.
Fixture supply lines, the short flexible connectors at sinks, toilets, and appliances, connect branch lines to specific fixtures. Old supply lines often have corroded fittings or weakened materials that should be replaced when fixtures are changed. Modern flexible braided stainless steel lines have replaced rigid copper risers used in older installations. Quality braided lines provide reliable service for many years when properly installed. Plumb Medic always replaces fixture supply lines during fixture installations as standard practice.
Material selection significantly affects supply line performance and longevity. Type L copper offers traditional appeal and proven longevity for branch and fixture applications. PEX provides flexibility, freeze resistance, and ease of installation. Polybutylene installed in some homes from 1978 to 1995 should be replaced due to known failure problems. Galvanized steel in older homes typically warrants replacement once problems develop due to internal corrosion. Plumb Medic identifies problematic materials and recommends appropriate replacement options.
Connection methods vary by material and application. Soldered copper joints create permanent connections when properly executed with lead-free solder. Press-fit copper connections offer faster installation without flame work in some applications. PEX uses crimp rings, expansion fittings, or push-fit connectors depending on PEX type. CPVC requires solvent welding for permanent bonds. Flexible supply lines use compression or threaded connections at fittings. Each method has specific applications and requires proper technique.
Pressure considerations affect supply line installation and longevity. Residential systems should operate between 40 and 80 PSI, with 60 PSI being ideal. Pressure exceeding 80 PSI stresses pipes, fittings, and fixtures continuously, shortening lifespan throughout the system. Pressure regulators control incoming municipal pressure to safe levels. Plumb Medic checks pressure during supply line work and addresses regulator issues when needed. Expansion tanks on closed systems absorb pressure spikes from water heater cycles.
Code compliance applies to supply line installations and major repairs. Pipe support spacing prevents sagging and stress concentration. Penetrations through walls and floors need proper sleeves and fire-stopping. Material specifications meet code requirements for specific applications. Permits typically apply to significant supply line work. Inspections verify proper installation methods. Plumb Medic follows current Georgia plumbing codes and local Woodstock requirements throughout all work.

Most Common Water Supply Lines Questions
Supply line questions usually focus on materials, costs, and signs that work is needed. Below are clear answers to the questions Woodstock homeowners ask most often before scheduling supply line service.
Supply line costs vary significantly based on scope and materials. Simple fixture supply line replacement typically runs $50 to $150 including materials and labor. Larger projects involving branch line replacement or extension cost $300 to $1,500 depending on extent. Main service line replacement ranges from $2,000 to $8,000 or more based on length, depth, and surface restoration needs. Whole-house repipe projects run $4,000 to $15,000 or more depending on size and material selection.
Several factors affect supply line costs significantly. Material choice affects both cost and labor time, with PEX often providing best value through lower material cost and faster installation. Copper costs more for materials and labor but offers traditional appeal. Accessibility plays a major role, with finished space work requiring drywall removal and repair adding to costs. Main service excavation includes site work, restoration, and utility coordination affecting total costs. Each factor gets evaluated during project planning.
The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the repair, keeping costs lower. Wisetack financing covers larger supply line projects through manageable monthly payments. Military and senior discounts apply to all supply line work. Insurance coverage applies to sudden failures, with documentation supporting claim processing. The investment in quality work pays off through decades of reliable water service. Plumb Medic provides transparent pricing with no surprise charges. Customers consistently report satisfaction with both pricing and results from our supply line projects.
PEX has become the dominant choice for residential water supply applications due to combined advantages. The flexible cross-linked polyethylene tubing routes through framing easily, requiring fewer fittings than rigid materials. Freeze resistance comes from material flexibility allowing expansion without splitting. Connections use various methods including crimp rings, expansion fittings, and push-fit connectors. Cost effectiveness combined with installation speed makes PEX excellent value for most residential supply line projects. Lifespan estimates of 50 years or more apply to quality installations.
Copper remains a strong choice for supply lines in many situations. Type L copper handles residential water supply applications reliably with proven longevity exceeding 50 years in favorable conditions. Soldered joints create permanent connections when properly executed. Copper handles high temperatures, freezes more resistantly than rigid plastics, and offers traditional appeal that some customers prefer. Costs run higher than PEX for both materials and labor. Aggressive water chemistry can cause pinhole leaks in copper over decades.
CPVC and other materials serve specific applications. CPVC provides moderate-cost alternative for hot and cold water supply with solvent welded permanent connections. Flexible braided stainless steel lines connect fixtures to branch lines reliably. Polybutylene installed in some older homes should be replaced due to known failure problems. Galvanized steel typically warrants replacement once problems develop. Plumb Medic recommends materials based on specific applications and customer preferences. Our recommendations reflect honest assessment of what works best for specific situations.
Supply line lifespan varies significantly by material and conditions. PEX typically lasts 50 years or more with quality installation. Copper often serves 50 to 70 years when water chemistry is favorable. CPVC offers similar lifespan estimates of 50 years or more. Flexible braided stainless steel lines for fixture connections typically last 5 to 10 years before needing replacement. Galvanized steel deteriorates internally over decades, with most installations needing replacement after 40 to 50 years.
Several factors affect supply line lifespan. Water quality plays a major role, with aggressive chemistry shortening copper life through pinhole leaks. Hard water deposits build up internally over time. Water pressure exceeding 80 PSI stresses all materials continuously. Freezing exposure can damage pipes, though some materials resist freeze damage better. Quality of installation affects lifespan, with proper joints and support extending material life. Each factor contributes to total useful life.
Plumb Medic identifies aging supply lines during inspections and recommends appropriate action. Sometimes spot repairs make sense, while other situations call for broader replacement. Polybutylene replacement is often recommended proactively due to known failure patterns. Galvanized steel typically warrants replacement once leaks begin. Old copper with widespread pinhole leaks may justify replacement. Our recommendations balance immediate needs with long-term value. Customers benefit from honest assessments based on specific situations rather than blanket recommendations.
Several signs indicate supply line problems requiring professional attention. Frequent leaks throughout the system suggest widespread material failure. Recurring pinhole leaks on copper that appear in different locations point to system-wide chemistry issues. Reduced water pressure throughout the home signals internal pipe restriction from corrosion. Discolored water on first morning use indicates corrosion progressing inside pipes. Strange tastes or smells in water sometimes relate to pipe material problems.
Several specific pipe materials warrant proactive replacement consideration. Polybutylene installations from 1978 to 1995 should be replaced before failures cause damage. Galvanized steel systems showing problems typically warrant complete replacement. Older copper with widespread pinhole leak history may justify replacement. Insurance company requirements sometimes force replacement of certain materials. Real estate transactions often surface pipe material issues that affect sale prices and timelines.
Plumb Medic provides honest evaluations of supply line system condition during inspections. Sometimes spot repairs make more sense than full replacement, while other situations clearly justify comprehensive work. We explain pros and cons of different approaches with associated costs. Customers receive clear information about expected outcomes from various approaches. Whole-house repipe addresses widespread problems definitively, while spot repair can be appropriate for isolated issues. Honest assessment has earned us strong reputation across Woodstock and surrounding communities.
Supply line work timelines vary widely based on scope. Simple fixture supply line replacement typically takes 30 minutes to an hour. Branch line repairs in accessible spaces usually complete in 2 to 4 hours. Main service line replacement takes 1 to 3 days depending on length, depth, and surface restoration needs. Whole-house repipe projects typically run 3 to 5 days for average homes. Plumb Medic provides accurate timeline estimates during project planning.
Several factors affect actual project duration. Accessibility plays a major role, with open framing during construction much faster than retrofit work in finished homes. Main service line installations involve excavation that takes time and may face weather delays. Surface restoration after work extends total project completion. Permit and inspection scheduling affects total timeline though not direct work hours. Multiple work crews can sometimes accelerate timelines for larger projects.
Plumb Medic minimizes water service interruption during supply line work. Coordination ensures water is available for most of each day during longer projects. Brief interruptions during specific connection work get scheduled to minimize household impact. Same-day completion is common for smaller projects. Larger projects include planning for water service continuity throughout work duration. Final inspection and water service restoration complete projects properly. Customers can plan around the project timeline once specific dates are confirmed.
Some basic supply line work is reasonable for handy homeowners. Replacing fixture supply lines, the flexible braided lines under sinks, is approachable for those with basic plumbing skills. Most fixture supply line replacement requires only hand tools and standard plumbing materials. Many homeowners successfully complete simple repairs without professional help.
Several factors complicate DIY supply line work significantly. Connection methods including soldering, crimping, and solvent welding require specific skills and tools. Code requirements for support spacing, sizing, and material specifications affect installation correctness. Permits typically apply to significant supply line work. Hidden work behind walls cannot be easily inspected after installation. Wrong material choices fail over time. Each potential issue can derail DIY repair attempts.
Plumb Medic makes professional supply line work accessible through transparent pricing, financing, and discounts. The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle repairs, and our work is backed by warranty plus permit documentation. Manufacturer warranties on premium materials require professional installation. Insurance coverage often depends on professional work documentation. The total cost difference between DIY and professional work is smaller than people expect once tools, time, and risk factors are included. Calling a licensed plumber for major work protects your home and investment.
Several common causes lead to supply line failures across different materials. Age is the biggest factor for many failures, with materials gradually deteriorating over decades. Galvanized steel corrodes internally over decades, with rust scale eventually causing pinholes and reduced flow. Copper develops pinhole leaks from aggressive water chemistry, electrolysis, or high water velocity. Polybutylene reacts with chlorinated water over time, becoming brittle and cracking. Each material has specific aging patterns.
Several environmental and use factors accelerate supply line failures. Water pressure exceeding 80 PSI stresses pipes continuously, causing premature wear. Hard water deposits build up internally, contributing to corrosion and flow problems. Acidic water with low pH attacks copper specifically. Freezing temperatures expand water in pipes, splitting them at weak points. Physical damage from settling structures, construction work, or ground movement causes immediate failures. Each factor adds to total failure risk over time.
Plumb Medic identifies failure causes during repair work, which helps prevent recurrence. Sometimes addressing root causes matters more than just repairing visible failures. Pressure regulators correct excessive pressure problems. Water softeners or filtration address water quality issues. Whole-house repipe with appropriate modern materials addresses widespread aging system problems. Our recommendations balance immediate repair with long-term solutions. Customers benefit from understanding why pipes failed and how to prevent future problems.
Several preventive practices reduce supply line damage risk over time. Maintaining proper water pressure between 40 and 80 PSI protects pipes from stress damage. Pressure regulators control incoming pressure to safe levels and should be inspected periodically. Insulating pipes in unconditioned spaces prevents freeze damage during cold weather. Avoiding chemical drain cleaners protects pipe materials from chemical damage. Regular inspection identifies developing problems before they cause failures.
Specific protections help guard against common failure modes. Water softeners address hardness issues affecting multiple pipe materials. Whole-house filtration removes sediment that contributes to wear. Anode rods in water heaters protect those tanks but do not affect general piping. Cathodic protection on buried metal pipes prevents underground corrosion. Marking buried lines prevents damage during digging projects. Plumb Medic addresses these protections during inspection visits and recommends specific improvements based on conditions.
Plumb Medic offers piping inspections that catch developing problems early. Our team checks pressure stability, joint integrity, support adequacy, and overall system condition. Documentation of inspection findings provides records for warranty purposes and home sales. The waived diagnostic fee on follow-up repairs encourages prompt response to identified issues. Annual or biennial inspections fit easily into homeowner maintenance schedules. The cost is modest compared to emergency repairs after failures occur. Customers who maintain piping systems regularly avoid most major emergencies. Prevention always costs less than emergency response.
