Plumb Medic comes through for the win...again! My water heater was old and the piping was wonky. Nick installed a better water heater and brought all the wonky stuff up to code. I always recommend Plumb Medic for plumbing needs. They're awesome!
Cain Was super friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed late to get the job done and did great work Will Call again if needed and would definitely recommend
Plumb Medic is my go to for water leaks and other plumbing issues. I have used them on multiple occasions to solve tricky issues that are typical of older homes. They were quick to come out and assess and quick to complete the project. Cameron, Cole, and Corey were polite, diligent, and frankly good at what they do. Happily recommend Plumb Medic to others and will use them should I have a new issue arise.
HIGHLY recommend! So professional!! Arrived on time, great communication and went above and beyond!!! Very reasonably priced, too!!
Thank you so much for the great service. I called that morning because my toilet was continuously running, and you came out that day. You diagnosed the problem as too much pressure and fixed the problem, and got me back in code. Your professionalism and attention to detail are very much appreciated. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that needs a professional and reasonably priced plumbing service.
Completely thrilled with the service and the prompt responses. I called on the weekend and received a call back within 24 hours. They were honestly, professional and got us up to code! Thank You!
Nick replaced a wax ring on my son’s toilet. He said he was very friendly and did a great job!
I rely on reviews a good bit but rarely write them. The glowing reviews are what led me to call Cameron/Plumb Medic LLC to get an estimate for installing a new Toto toilet that I ordered and had sitting in boxes in my hallway to replace my 43 year old Briggs toilet, yes 43 years ! Cameron returned my call immediately, was very knowledgeable and gave me a price that beat 2 other local plumbing companies even offering a discount for 2 toilets at once. I only had the one but am expecting delivery tomorrow for the second one. Cain and Eric came the next day to install my toilet. They were down to earth, easy to talk to , professional hardworking guys that knew their stuff! Plus, they are animal lovers like myself. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure having them at my house. They installed my new Toto and I plan to try to request them for the second Toto install. After using numerous plumbers/plumbing companies through the years I am happy and relieved to have found Plumb Medic and plan on making them my "go to " plumbers. This may sound odd but I do love my Toto !!! Barb Above review was several years ago. This 2nd review is from March 13 2026. Cameron and Corey came and installed a new Bradford White water heater for me. They did an exceptional job with attention to detail. Cameron noticed water seeping from an old connection above his work, accessed it and made the repair at no extra cost. I asked about replacing my 40 plus year old handle on the main water shut off to house at back of basement. Cameron was thoughtful enough to suggest that he could move it lower so I could reach it without a ladder -hopefully I won’t ever need to. He replaced it with a ball valve handle which is superior to the old school round handle that exterior faucets use and gave me a discount since they were installing the water heater. I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Plumb Medic , Cameron and crew are the BEST.
As always they come through with a reasonable price and get the work done. I have used them multiple times and they will always be my first call.
Cameron and team did excellent and extensive work through our house. They cared for our home like it was theirs. Highly recommend.
I am a repeat client. They are very professional. They quickly diagnose problems and present alternative solutions to each issue. They are a pleasure to work with.
Cameron and Corey were professional, freindly, knowledgeable and honest. I told them the issues I was having and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. They don’t cut corners, and fix the problem RIGHT , and take pride in their work.
Cain and Eric were schedule to come and replace a weird leaking outdoor faucet and replace some stuff in a bathroom. They did this in the usual timely and professional manner. They noticed an indoor leak and opened the wall to find a bigger problem. Thank goodness and a mitigation company was called. At the same time I had a sewer problem and they quickly got Cole out to ream and camera the sewer. Highly recommend this service.
Called Plumb Medic after I got a 1300 water bill assuming I had a leak. Cole came out in a POURING rainstorm. Checked our meter outside getting soaked several times after shutting off house water, and came back to tell me we had no leak and there was no charge. I was shocked he would come out and not charge me. I will use Plumb Medic in the future for every plumbing issue. That’s amazing customer service.
Fantastic customer service! Excellent communication, and follow up, prompt, professional and very helpful and patient answering my questions. I highly recommend them without reservation!
We encountered the dreaded, dirty rusty water in our sinks and tubs and knew we needed to replace our water heater. I called Plumb Medic and after a brief discussion we were scheduled for a new install 2 days later. They were on time, on budget and the area was spic-and-span when they finished up. The quality of the joints and connections of the new copper piping needed was impressive - it was like a work of art. They were friendly, professional, honest and super easy and comfortable to do business with. I can highly recommend Plumb Medic without reservation!!
We had a fantastic experience with them. They were prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything clearly, and completed the repair efficiently. The pricing was fair with no surprises. It’s hard to find reliable service these days, but they absolutely delivered. Highly recommend for any plumbing needs!
Clean install. On time. Professional and fair Price. Highly recommended
I definitely recommend Plumb Medic. Water heater finally broke and they came out and replaced it the same day. Good pricing and great customer service
Cole was capable, quick, and knowledgeable. He did solid work for a good price.
Plumb Medic was great to work with. We had a water issue and they came out quickly, figured out exactly what was going on, and explained everything clearly along the way. The technician was patient, knowledgeable, and really on top of his work. He also referred us to a water remediation company to dry out the affected areas, which made the whole situation much easier to handle. I really appreciated the professionalism and friendliness they showed throughout the process. Overall, a very good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
The entire experience was great from start to finish. It started with a phone call with Cameron. He gave me an estimate and when I mentioned I was getting estimates from other businesses he provided me with several questions to ask them. Next step was an in person estimate. Cole came out, gave an estimate then emailed me what we had discussed. When Cole came out with one other person (I forget his name) they were early, finished the work soner than they said, cleaned up then the bill was what we were quoted. Great service, great people and reasonable prices. I would recommend them to everyone adn will use the again when we need them.
I called Plumb Medic after discovering water in my garage. The owner, Cameron, came to my home at 8:30pm and detected a slab leak behind the water heater. Repairs were made the next day. Cameron is very personable and professional. I highly recommend him and his team for all plumbing needs.
Such great service. Knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Will definitely call them anytime I need a plumber.
Have been using Plumb Medic last 2 years and very satisfied. Cole was excellent. Strongly recommend!
Plumb Medic is absolutely the best. I’ve used them for multiple services and repairs, and every experience has been consistently excellent. Their communication is clear and timely, and the entire team is professional from start to finish. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and I always feel confident the work is done right. Truly the only plumbing company I trust and continue to use. Highly recommend!
Quick and responsive, friendly and helpful. Best plumber experience ever. 100% recommend.
Cameron and the team did an awesome job with our replumb. In and out in a day, competitive pricing, and they were great to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend
One of the most professional and efficient companies I’ve ever worked with. They came in and diagnosed the problem and got to work immediately. I can’t recommend them enough.
I would highly recommend!!! Cain and Eric went way above and beyond to help us out in our situation. They were very professional, knowledgeable, kind and answered all of our questions and concerns! I can not recommend them enough!
Cameron and his team have helped me out many times over the years, from leaks to running toilets and most recently, the replacement of my water heater. They’re always prompt, thorough and super respectful, their quotes are clear and transparent and they do a wonderful job explaining everything so you know exactly what you’re getting. I never feel like I’m being upsold or pressured into anything, it genuinely feels like they care - like it’s a friend or family member helping out. Their work is great too! Will hire again and again 😁
Cain and his brother Eric did an amazing job. I called Cameron and he was able to get someone out quickly despite a busy schedule. Honest, professional, on time, and no unnecessary repairs. Plus excellent pricing. All around the best —the only plumbing company I recommend.
They came when they said they would and the plumber was very nice and took care of it in the most efficient way possible, so there wasn't any superfluous charges. I highly recommend this company!
Reliable, clean, quick, fair priced. Thank you Plumb Medic for helping us! 🙂
Cameron and Corey did a fantastic job replacing my tankless hot water heater. Everything was explained to me.
We have used Plumb Medic several times over the years for our plumbing needs. Cameron and his team have always been honest and professional. Recently we had a toilet installed in which Cameron himself came out and installed. He arrived within the window he promised given the busy holiday season, which is extremely rare these days. There were some defects with toilet we purchased from Home Depot, which caused the install to take longer than expected. He had mentioned prior to coming out that his kid had a Christmas program that day, but should be able to install the toilet in time. Due to the toilet defect I’m pretty sure he missed his kid’s performance, which killed me inside. I wished he would have told me, because I would have told him to go and come back tomorrow. This just proves Cameron’s dedication to his craft and his customers. We appreciate him and his family for his dedication and highly recommend him and his team to anyone who has plumbing needs. Thank you again Cameron and we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Great response, communication, work and reasonable price. On site within a couple of hours for a service main break. Ask for Cole.
The gentleman that came was awesome! He explain everything he was looking at and how much it would cost beforehand. He told me if it was too much that he could break it down to what should he done first. He worked office fly and checked everything to make sure all was done correctly
Cameron and team are great guys and have always been good to finish projects and help in emergencies. I have used them to finish out a laundry room project, replace toilets, replace a water heater and fix a mainline break to my house. They have always been quick and fair! I have tried several companies and plumbmedic has always treated my emergencies as if it was their own home emergencies. Can’t go wrong with this company.
Great experience! Cole from plumb medic did a thorough assessment of the issue and explained everything in details.
Cam and Jesse went above and beyond for us. From the initial call they were professional and courteous while walking me through what needed to be done on my basement rough in. The bid was very fair and they showed up on time and completed the job quicker than I expected. No corners were cut and the job was meticulously done. They also replaced my hot water heater. I can’t say enough about the Plumb Medic. It is very refreshing to work with a company like theirs. I highly recommend Plumb Medic for any of your plumbing needs.
Used them 3 times, always show up on time, fixed the issue and their prices are great.

Drain Cleaning in Woodstock, GA
Drain problems develop from a variety of causes, and effective cleaning starts with identifying the source. Kitchen drains most often clog from grease, food particles, and soap scum building up over time. Bathroom drains accumulate hair, soap residue, and toothpaste that gradually restrict flow. Toilet drains can clog from excessive paper, foreign objects, or buildup of waste in older lines. Main sewer lines face challenges from tree roots, pipe damage, and accumulated buildup over many years. Each location calls for different cleaning techniques and equipment. Plumb Medic technicians know which approach fits each situation.
Cable machines, often called drain snakes, handle most residential drain clogs effectively. The flexible cable feeds into the drain with a cutting head at the tip that breaks through obstructions. Different cable sizes and cutting heads suit different drain diameters, from small bathroom lines to large main sewers. Powered drain machines provide the rotation force needed to break through stubborn clogs. Our technicians select the right cable type and head for each job, since wrong choices can damage pipes or fail to clear the blockage. Cable cleaning works well for soft clogs, hair, and minor root intrusions. Heavier obstructions sometimes require a different approach.
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour pipe interiors clean. The jetter sends water through a specialized nozzle at pressures up to 4,000 PSI, blasting away grease, scale, roots, and debris from pipe walls. Unlike cable cleaning that punches through clogs, hydro jetting actually cleans the entire pipe diameter. The result is a pipe that flows like new and resists future clogs longer. Hydro jetting works particularly well for grease-clogged kitchen lines, scaled-up old pipes, and root infestations in main sewers. Plumb Medic uses commercial hydro jetters appropriate for residential applications. We assess pipe condition before jetting since severely deteriorated pipes may not handle the pressure.
Video camera inspection takes the guesswork out of drain diagnosis. A waterproof camera on a flexible cable travels through the drain, sending video back to a monitor in real time. Our technicians see exactly what is causing the problem, whether it is roots, a collapsed pipe, a foreign object, or accumulated buildup. Camera inspection also locates the problem precisely, including depth and distance from the access point. Locator devices pinpoint the camera position from above ground, which helps when excavation is needed. Customers can watch the inspection live and see the problem for themselves. The recording stays available for insurance claims, real estate disclosures, or future reference.
Tree root intrusion is one of the most common main sewer line problems. Roots find tiny cracks or loose joints in older clay or concrete sewer pipes, then grow inside seeking water and nutrients. Once established, roots spread rapidly and create dense masses that block flow completely. Cable cutting clears the immediate blockage but does not stop roots from regrowing. Hydro jetting cleans more thoroughly and disrupts roots more aggressively. Permanent solutions involve repairing the cracked pipe or replacing the affected section. Plumb Medic discusses long-term options when root intrusion is severe. Recurring root problems often justify trenchless pipe repair or replacement.
Grease buildup creates persistent kitchen drain problems that simple snaking does not fully resolve. Grease, oils, and fats coat pipe walls when they cool after going down the drain. Over time, grease accumulates into thick layers that restrict flow significantly. Hot water and dish soap rinse some grease through but leave plenty behind. Cable machines push through grease clogs but leave the pipe walls coated. Hydro jetting actually cleans the grease off the walls, restoring full pipe diameter. We recommend grease prevention practices alongside cleaning, including never pouring grease down drains and using strainers to catch food particles.
Recurring clogs signal underlying problems that surface cleaning cannot fix. Pipes that clog repeatedly may have pipe damage, improper slope, or poor original installation. Belly sections in main sewer lines, where the pipe sags and collects waste, cause chronic problems. Collapsed sections of older clay or cast iron pipes create permanent flow restrictions. Plumb Medic uses video inspection to identify these underlying issues. Long-term solutions sometimes require trenchless pipe lining or section replacement. We explain options clearly and provide pricing for both temporary and permanent fixes. The choice between repeated cleaning and permanent repair depends on cost, timeline, and your specific situation.

Why Hire A Licensed Plumber For Your Drain Cleaning
Professional drain cleaning protects your pipes while solving the problem completely. Plumb Medic technicians use commercial equipment that homeowners cannot rent, including high-power cable machines and hydro jetters. Improper cable use can damage pipe walls, break fittings, or push clogs deeper into the system. Chemical drain cleaners often cause more harm than good, eating into pipe materials and creating safety hazards for plumbers who work on the system later. Video camera inspection identifies underlying problems that DIY methods miss entirely. Our team is licensed, insured, and experienced across thousands of drain cleaning calls. We diagnose accurately, choose the right method, and complete the job efficiently. The waived diagnostic fee on repairs, military and senior discounts, and Wisetack financing make professional service affordable. Recurring problems get addressed at the root cause rather than masked with quick fixes. Plumb Medic stands behind every cleaning with documentation and warranty coverage.
Most Common Drain Cleaning Questions
Drain problems raise practical questions about cost, methods, and prevention. Below are clear answers to the questions Woodstock homeowners ask most often before scheduling drain cleaning service.
Drain cleaning costs vary based on the drain type, severity of the clog, and equipment needed. Simple bathroom drain clogs typically run $150 to $300 when cleared with cable machines from accessible cleanouts. Kitchen drain cleaning, especially when grease is involved, often costs $200 to $400 due to the additional difficulty. Main sewer line cleaning ranges from $300 to $700 for cable cleaning and $400 to $900 for hydro jetting. Pricing depends on access points, line length, and the cleaning method required. Plumb Medic provides upfront pricing before any work begins.
Several factors push costs higher than basic cleaning rates. After-hours emergency service carries higher rates, though our pricing remains transparent throughout. Roof-access cleaning costs more than ground-level cleanout access due to additional safety requirements. Severely clogged or root-infested lines require multiple passes or specialized equipment. Video camera inspection typically adds $200 to $400 when needed for diagnosis. Excavation for cleanout installation, if no accessible cleanout exists, adds significant cost. Each situation gets evaluated honestly before work begins.
The diagnostic fee is waived when we handle the cleaning, which keeps overall costs lower. Military and senior discounts apply to drain cleaning services. Wisetack financing covers larger projects like hydro jetting plus video inspection or recurring problem solutions. We never push unnecessary services to inflate the bill. Sometimes a simple cable cleaning solves the problem completely; other times hydro jetting and inspection make more sense. Our recommendations match the actual problem, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Honest pricing has earned us strong reputation across Cherokee County and surrounding service areas.
Most drains benefit from preventive cleaning every 18 to 24 months, even when no immediate problems exist. Kitchen drains often need more frequent attention due to grease and food buildup, sometimes annually in heavily used kitchens. Bathroom drains accumulate hair gradually and may go several years between cleanings depending on use. Main sewer lines typically need cleaning every 2 to 5 years, with homes near large trees often needing more frequent service. Older homes with cast iron or clay pipes generally need cleaning more often than newer PVC or ABS systems. Each home develops its own pattern based on usage and pipe condition.
Several signs indicate cleaning is needed sooner than scheduled. Slow drains, gurgling sounds, water backing up, or odors from drains all signal developing problems. Multiple drains slowing simultaneously usually points to main sewer line issues. Toilets that flush sluggishly or back up when the washing machine drains suggest main line obstruction. Bad smells from drains often come from buildup that traps food particles and bacteria. Plumb Medic responds quickly to drain problems, often scheduling within a day or two. Catching issues early prevents complete blockages and emergency calls.
Preventive maintenance extends pipe life and reduces emergency calls significantly. Annual cleaning of high-use kitchen drains prevents grease buildup from becoming severe. Periodic main line inspection catches root intrusion before complete blockages occur. Plumb Medic offers maintenance scheduling for customers who want predictable service intervals. The cost of regular cleaning is far lower than emergency response to a backed-up sewer line. Documentation of routine maintenance also helps with home sales and insurance considerations. Many of our customers schedule annual drain cleaning along with other plumbing maintenance for convenience.
Some basic drain maintenance is reasonable for homeowners and worth doing regularly. Removing visible hair from bathroom drains using simple tools or hair removal products handles minor accumulation. Plunging clogged sinks or toilets resolves many soft clogs without calling a plumber. Hot water flushes through kitchen drains help reduce light grease accumulation. Enzyme-based drain treatments, used regularly, provide gentle ongoing cleaning without damaging pipes. These approaches work well for prevention and minor problems.
Several common DIY methods cause more harm than good. Chemical drain cleaners use harsh acids or caustics that damage pipe materials, particularly older metal pipes and seals. The chemicals also create safety hazards for any plumber working on the line later. Repeated chemical use weakens pipes and accelerates failure. Drain snakes available at hardware stores often cannot reach deeper clogs and may damage pipes when used improperly. Pressurized drain bladders can cause pipe damage if used on weakened lines. The savings from DIY methods often disappear when professional repair becomes necessary.
Plumb Medic encourages preventive habits while leaving serious cleaning to professionals. Strainers in kitchen and bathroom drains catch debris before it enters pipes. Never pour grease, oils, or coffee grounds down drains, since they cause persistent buildup. Regular hot water flushing helps move soap residue through. Avoid flushing wipes, even those labeled flushable, since they cause major problems in main lines. Our team is happy to share specific maintenance tips during service calls. Combining good habits with professional cleaning every couple of years keeps drains flowing reliably.
Hydro jetting is a drain cleaning method that uses high-pressure water to clean pipe interiors thoroughly. The jetter sends water through a specialized nozzle at pressures up to 4,000 PSI, far higher than household water pressure. The nozzle has forward-facing jets that break through clogs and rear-facing jets that propel the line forward and clean the pipe walls behind it. The result is a pipe cleaned to its full diameter, removing grease, scale, roots, and accumulated debris. Hydro jetting is significantly more thorough than cable cleaning. Pipes flow like new after proper jetting service.
Several situations call for hydro jetting over cable cleaning. Grease-clogged kitchen drains benefit greatly from jetting because the high-pressure water actually removes grease from pipe walls. Cable cleaning punches through grease but leaves walls coated, allowing fast recurrence. Root intrusion in main sewer lines responds well to jetting, which cuts and flushes roots more aggressively than cables alone. Scaled-up older pipes with heavy mineral deposits clean up dramatically with jetting. Recurring clogs that come back after cable cleaning often have underlying buildup that only jetting can address. Annual maintenance jetting on high-use commercial drains keeps systems flowing reliably.
Hydro jetting is not appropriate for every situation. Severely deteriorated pipes, like badly corroded cast iron or fragile old clay, may not handle the pressure. Plumb Medic inspects pipes with video camera before jetting when condition is uncertain. Some clogs are caused by collapsed pipe sections or foreign objects that jetting cannot resolve. Cable cleaning often works fine for simple clogs in good pipes, making jetting unnecessary expense. Our team recommends the right method for your specific situation, not the most expensive option. Honest assessments are part of how we earn customer trust. Many drain cleaning calls are resolved with cable methods, while jetting handles tougher jobs.
Recurring clogs almost always signal underlying problems that surface cleaning cannot resolve. Pipe damage, including cracks, breaks, or collapsed sections, creates permanent flow restrictions. Belly sections in main sewer lines, where pipes sag and hold water, accumulate debris repeatedly. Improper slope on horizontal drain lines prevents waste from flowing properly, causing repeated buildup. Tree root intrusion grows back rapidly even after cleaning if the underlying pipe damage is not addressed. Pipe joints that have separated allow debris to catch and accumulate.
Material buildup over years creates ongoing clog problems even in undamaged pipes. Grease layers on kitchen drain walls thicken over time despite regular use. Soap scum and mineral deposits combine to coat pipe interiors. Old galvanized steel pipes corrode internally, with rust scale catching debris and slowing flow. Cast iron pipes can develop similar internal corrosion that creates ongoing problems. Polybutylene pipes degrade and may shed material that contributes to clogs. Each material has its own failure modes that affect drain performance.
Plumb Medic uses video camera inspection to identify the actual cause of recurring clogs. Once we see what is happening inside the pipe, we can recommend appropriate solutions. Sometimes the answer is pipe repair or replacement, often using trenchless methods that minimize excavation. In other cases, hydro jetting plus modified maintenance habits resolves chronic problems. Pipe lining can restore old damaged pipes without full replacement in some situations. We explain the cause clearly and provide options with honest pricing. Solving recurring clogs at the source costs less than constant cleaning over years. Customers appreciate the diagnostic clarity our cameras provide.
Chemical drain cleaners cause more problems than they solve in most cases. The harsh acids or caustics in these products eat away at pipe materials over time, particularly older metal pipes, gaskets, and seals. PVC pipes can warp from the heat generated by chemical reactions in slow-flowing drains. Metal traps and pop-up stoppers corrode from chemical exposure. The chemicals also create hazards for anyone working on the plumbing system later, including residual liquid that can splash up during repairs. Repeated use accelerates pipe deterioration significantly.
Effectiveness of chemical cleaners is often disappointing as well. The products work best on completely empty drains, which means standing water blocks the chemicals from reaching the clog. Hair, grease, and large debris often resist chemical action entirely. Septic systems suffer when chemicals kill the beneficial bacteria that break down waste. Many products produce dangerous fumes that require ventilation during use. Mixing different drain cleaning chemicals can produce toxic gases. The supposed convenience of chemical cleaners comes with significant risk and limited effectiveness.
Plumb Medic recommends safer alternatives for routine maintenance. Enzyme-based drain treatments use beneficial bacteria to slowly digest organic buildup without damaging pipes. Hot water flushes help move soap residue and minor grease through drain lines. Baking soda and vinegar provide mild cleaning action for surface buildup. Mechanical methods like plunging or simple drain snake use handle most minor clogs without chemicals. For serious problems, professional cleaning with proper equipment costs only modestly more than chemical products and resolves issues thoroughly. We are happy to recommend specific maintenance approaches during service calls. Avoiding chemical cleaners protects your pipes and your investment.
Tree roots cause the majority of main sewer line problems in older Woodstock homes. Roots find tiny cracks or separated joints in clay, cast iron, or concrete sewer pipes. Once inside the pipe, roots find ample water and nutrients to grow rapidly. Dense root masses develop over months or years, eventually blocking flow completely. Even small root intrusions slow flow and catch passing debris, creating progressive clogs. Older neighborhoods with mature trees see this problem most frequently. Each round of cleaning extends pipe life, but the underlying damage remains until repaired.
Buildup from years of use also contributes to main line clogs. Toilet paper, waste, and minor debris accumulate over time even in good pipes. Wipes labeled flushable do not break down properly and create major clogs. Feminine hygiene products, paper towels, and other foreign objects flushed accidentally cause backups. Grease that escapes kitchen drains eventually reaches the main line, contributing to buildup throughout the system. Pipe scale in old metal mains catches debris and slows flow over decades. Each contribution adds to the eventual clog.
Pipe damage and design problems create chronic main line issues. Belly sections, where pipes sag below proper grade, hold water and accumulate waste. Improper slope from original installation prevents adequate flow velocity. Collapsed sections of old clay or cast iron pipes create permanent restrictions. Offset joints from ground shifting allow debris to catch and accumulate. Plumb Medic uses video camera inspection to identify the specific cause of each main line problem. Repair options range from spot repairs to full trenchless pipe replacement, depending on the situation. We explain everything clearly and provide pricing for various solutions. Solving main line problems properly prevents repeat emergencies and protects your home’s foundation from sewage exposure.
Properly performed drain cleaning does not damage pipes, but improper methods or equipment can cause significant problems. Cable machines used too aggressively can break old fittings, puncture pipe walls, or worsen existing damage. Wrong cable head selection can scrape pipe interiors or fail to engage clogs properly. Hydro jetting at incorrect pressures can damage deteriorated pipes that cannot handle high pressure. Each method has appropriate applications and limitations that experienced technicians understand. Plumb Medic technicians match equipment to pipe conditions for safe, effective cleaning.
Older pipes require extra care during cleaning. Cast iron pipes often have internal corrosion that weakens the walls, making them vulnerable to aggressive cleaning. Clay sewer pipes can crack under hydro jetting pressure if already damaged. Galvanized steel drains with severe interior corrosion may not survive vigorous cable use. Plumb Medic inspects pipe condition with cameras before choosing aggressive cleaning methods on older systems. Sometimes the right answer is gentle cleaning combined with planned repair or replacement. We explain pipe condition honestly and recommend appropriate approaches.
DIY drain cleaning causes most pipe damage we see during repair calls. Hardware store drain snakes used incorrectly puncture pipes or jam in fittings. Pressurized drain bladders fail and damage pipes from sudden pressure release. Chemical drain cleaners weaken pipes over years of use. Each method has caused pipe failures we have repaired across Woodstock and Cherokee County. Professional equipment used by trained technicians clears clogs without damaging pipes in nearly every case. Plumb Medic stands behind our work with warranties on cleaning services. Customers can trust their pipes are in good hands when we handle the work.
